This email alert should make for interesting reading. Mr. Zaid Hamid was recently invited for appearance on PTV. That show has been canceled after it was recorded. The producers have been given instructions by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting to the effect that Mr. Hamid should never be invited again on the state channel. Similar pressure is being exerted on his home channel, TVOneNews. The irony of PTV under PPP government [and frankly under all these politicians regardless of their parties] is that someone like Zaid Hamid, who is exclusively speaking in favor of Pakistan and highlighting threats against the homeland, is being silenced. They can’t even understand that having someone like him and others speak against and expose the U.S. government is good for them, since these politicians are afraid of doing it themselves for fear of being denied U.S. visa. Some of them have assets and money in America and in other banks that fall under American influence and so they can’t afford to upset Uncle Sam. You know who, I don’t need to mention names.
And now the PPP government is planning to pass the e-crime bill, which basically allows the government to blacklist websites that criticize the government and arrest owners. It is basically a good bill where draconian clauses have been added because the PPP senior officials have been upset at how Mr. Zardari’s spelling mistakes in his remarks at the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam were shown to the entire nation through Internet ( here & here ).
Just imagine this: Zaid Hamid is banned from talking against U.S. government on PTV under a PPP government. This should be an eye opener for all those patriotic Pakistanis who are members of PPP or its supporters. We should know and understand that no single political party, and no single individual, is more important than the homeland itself. The patriotic Pakistanis within PPP should carefully watch what a small coterie of PPP leaders are doing. Please read below and see where we’re going.

Dear Zaid
Assalamo alaikum
Thanks for the mail. There is no question that it is our basic right to get to
and receive all sorts of information for proper analysis of situation. Stopping
info. on part of any one tentamounts to fiddling with the basic rights. I am
a senior retired technocrat. I need to analyze the situation so that I am able
to form an independent opinion about what is happening. It does not matter
if some one agrees with you (and as a matter of fact, with other sources)
still it is useful from all angles to have a clearer picture as far as possible.
You have been doing excellent job; Ahmed Quraishi Sahib has also been
sending me the valuable stuff. You will be surprised to learn that I am a
direct recepient of mails from States as well and they do not bother even if
I am critical about some issues (even from the top-most website there).
We need to be broadminded and accommodative. If they are harrassing you
it must be a very coward and childish action. THEY SHOULD NOT DO THAT.
But since you are determined to continue to explore the unknowns through
your own sources and fact-finding methodologies, I would like to appreciate
and encourage you. Also, at the same time, I would request you to adopt a
least resistance path so that in this era of information proliferation, useful
and serious material does not become scarce.
I wish you all the best and pray for your success. We have to identify the bad
guys so that they do not sell us (that too very cheaply).
Allah Hafiz.

I think we should be positive about what is going on. I have been fond of listening to Mr Zaid Zaman; but one thing we all should take into account is the intelligence agencies doublecross affairs in the so-called war on terror. To be sure, americans are not so stupid as we think of them. They managed to get the employees list of ISI included all the names from DG ISI to class four employees and it was responded from our side by establishing NGO pattern covert operations cells where all the retired personnel were hired to perform on term time basis. Simply the covert operations are carried out on case by case criteria because all the ISI employees are monitored by uncle sam and even this modus operandi of our intelligence services is also in their watch and their are serious pressures on Govt of pakistan to do away with this practice. We should support this practice as pakistani and should not surrender our intelligence operations but we should be more innovative in this. To be sure, how can Zaid sahib or our other mentors can manage to work without our state support. Such activities requires a lot of funds and government tacit approval but we should try to convince the people on the helm to support us another way and find other ways to continue our efforts.

@ it is simply despicable from Govt. of Pakistan
to behave like demi-nazi-mossulinists adopting
their barberic tactics of strangling national
opinion on Pakistan’s integrity, some political
and religious elements are supporting this
hideous act.

Salaams
All I would like to say is that no matter what happens and no matter how strong the enemy tries to destroy us. We as MUSLIMS and PAKISTANIS need to stay UNITED in these chaotic times. There is HOPE for sure. May ALLAH be with all of us.

Dear Zaid Sahab,
assalam alekum,
Sir, we as a nation must now understand the game being played with us by our so-called allies and friends. You are the only man in the motherland, we have been blessed with, who is true patriotic and so effective in his words. Sir, we all are well aware now by the grace of you, what our government is doing to destabilize the country and to save only CIA’s interest. But sir in this current scenario, what is our military leadership doing, can’t they see that external forces as well as these politicians are working on the same agenda.
Sir, please ask them to save the country, for what they have been in this prestigious department.
May God bless u and give you the power & energy to expose our enemies.
Wassalam,
AMAN RAZA

May Allah assist the supporters of our homeland. (Ameen)
Carry on sir, as it’s not a voluntary mission—it’s a duty regarding which the defenders of Pakistan shall be questioned on the day of Judgement. It’s a sacred trust, the betrayal of which shall cost us consequences which were faced by previous nations, humiliated by those who trampled them.
And godspeed to u!
