A Layman’s Anger: The Weak Response By Pakistani Politicians & Military
God forbid if anything happens to our country then it will not only be the fault of our corrupt leaders like President Zardari, Defense Minister Ahmed Mukhtar, Rehman Malik and other similar leaders but also the military establishment which could have prevented such corrupt leaders from staying in power.
Dear Mr. Ahmed Quraishi,
Reference to the recent Pak-India tension due to the Mumbai terror attack and its aftermath, me and my family have seen with great interest and enthusiasm the TvOne News talk show in which your good self and Mr. Zaid Hamid were informing us, and have also studied your website.

It is so encouraging that you have been able to inform the nation that the Mumbai attacks appear to be orchestrated by the Indians themselves and not by Pakistanis as been blamed by the and Western media.
This is all common sense and even a child can tell that at this stage when Pakistan is itself under the direct threat of U.S. attacks from the West and bleeding due to our own terror problems why should someone from Pakistan go and organize a terror attack within India and start another problem for us. It is all a plan of India to make best use of this time when Pakistan is already weakened by years of unrest and carry acts of aggression against our country with the assistance of U.S. and Israel.
At the same time one is deeply shocked and disturbed at the stance of our so-called elected and Democratic Government and how our own President has blamed our ‘non State elements’ for the Mumbai attack. The Government never seriously tried to counter Indian allegations and no Government official or even the Military establishment has put forward the facts and proofs of Hindu terrorists’ involvement in the Mumbai terror attacks. I am surprised that if you and Zaid Hamid can so clearly point out the involvement of the Hindu terrorists then why not our Government and Military is making use of this evidence and why is our Government not telling the international community of this conspiracy against us? On the contrary our ‘leaders’ are kneeling down under the pressure put on us by India and the U.S. and even carrying out operations against groups like Lashkar Taiba who have nothing to do with this act.
It seems the Government is acting on behalf of our enemies and not on behalf of our nation.
Why is our Government so spineless? Why is the Military establishment letting all this happen? Where is the pride of our nation and our military? How can we expect such leaders to defend our country in case Indians decide to wage a full scale war and I believe they will as they will never have such golden opportunity again especially if we have such pathetic and hopeless leadership.
God forbid if anything happens to our country then it will not only be the fault of our corrupt leaders like President Zardari, Defense Minister Ahmed Mukhtar, Rehman Malik and other similar leaders but also the military establishment which could have prevented such corrupt leaders from gaining power and ensured that a more capable leadership was at the helm of affairs at this crucial times when our survival is at stake.
I believe that it is the duty of all of us now to put pressure on our current military establishment including the three service chiefs, core commanders and the ISI leadership to remove our corrupt leadership and make sure that more strong and patriotic leaders should be at the helm of affairs who are more suited to lead the country during such crisis period.
At the same time our Military establishment should urgently approach Chinese leadership and try to make a defense pact to ensure our security in case our enemies undertake any act of aggression like surgical strikes within Pakistan or a full scale invasion. We need backing of China at this crucial time as both Pakistan and China are targets of our common enemies and it is in the interest of both countries to immediately enter strategic defense pact. Such a pact can tell the United States, India and Israel that Pakistan is not alone and has the solid backing of a superpower and can prevent any war in this region.
Time is running out for us and we all need to act fast before it is too late.
God Bless Pakistan.

“Even after the published news [about the questionable credibility of Indian claims], Pakistani Government will continue to arrest its own people, and the international media [read: British and American] and its Indian partners will continue to blame Pakistan. Shame on all Pakistani politicians for their apologetic attitude and I need to say that our Army is also continuously preying on our trust by letting all ‘ghaddars‘ do whatever they want … Pakistani Army does not need war with India to get our nation united, but a strong and vociferous Army leaders’ stance will make us united. Gen. Kayani should have better posture in the media. He should stop talking with his colleagues only. It is time to talk to the people of Pakistan. We want a voice that does not defend us, we want a voice that attacks and takes on the evil designs. If our strategy is to appease, the enemies’ strategy is long term and fatal.”

those were PAF planes not Israeli.
i am told that “Hmm, thats interesting. Never heard of that story before. Doesn’t even seem like a Military statement, tho I correctly remember back in 82 when Israel planned to attack nuclear settlements in Pak, the statement Pak passed to India and Israel was that Pakistan is not Iraq (whom reactor was destroyed by Israel) and if Kahuta is attacked, Pakistan will lay waste to dimona (the israeli nuclear site) since General Zia already planned a contigency plan on attacking Israel – and hence Israel backed off.
Pak Army does not have such history of passing these statements, and neither I have ever come across in any of declassified information from Army. Nor I know of any American/Israeli jets flying over chaghi story. As a amtter of fact, US was caught off guard when Pak test was performed at chaghi. It is said that Pak blocked the US satellite that was up for detection. “
Thanks a lot to share this information with us – Mr Zaki. I have no doubt that the Pakistan armed forces are capable of repeating the example of our glorious heroes like Salahudeen Ayubi, Tariq Bin Ziyaad, Muhammad Bin Qasim etc – there are already numerous examples during 48, 65, 71 and kargil war – we only lack a leadership which only fear and serve Allah.
My mother has always said – if you give the command of sheep to a lion – it will make them fight like a lions but if u give the command of lions to a sheep – it will make them all to act like a sheep.
We have to promote people of strong and solid character, knowledge, good practice and those who are competent for the duty. The main problem is we don’t let the deserving come forward.
I do appreciate the role of TV one news channel – they should speak more openly and invite those who can offer an insight of the situation and give a solution. I hope they invite the guests who have good command over their profession and can speak with facts. I am sick of all those guests who come on air to insult our intelligence.
Like Iraqi journalist we have to show our puppet govt that do not take our silence as an approval for your crimes against this nation and country. Its not the time to remain silent. We should also bycot all those channels which are busy to confuse us instead of giving us the clear picture of the situation. thats in our control.
There should be a way to communicate with the leadership of our armed forces – its evident that how they have survived US sanctions and developed and relied on their own skills and resources.
there are 25 lac retd armed forces personnel – they have enough strength to kick this puppet govt out of country – why should any of us be defending them (in govt) when its getting clear day by day they are hell bent to destroy us like afghanistan and Iraq? their job is to tie our hand and throw us infront of vultures (India, US, israel) to feast on.
no one is going to remove them for us if we can’t do it for ourselves – why we have accepted their authority and put our trust in their abilities?
My message to armed forces will be – why are you protecting those in govt – who are busy in planning with your enemies to annihilate you? you are defending and protecting your own enemies?
We need leaders who fear and serve Allah.
I would suggest that this nation should be mobilised now – especially the educated silent majority who just busy with their every day needs and not worried about their and country’s future.
Iraqi journalist’s example is infront of us – we can also think of ways to express ourselves. I am sick of the govt officials rants about the sacrifices and martyrdom of Bhuttos. they can live in a paradise for morons but they should not expect that the we can’t see through this propaganda when they should be speaking about real problems of this nation.
it has to be stopped – we have to remove these incompetent people from these posts. Due to their kiss ass skills they may get invited in programs with anchors who may make a donkey proud of its IQ but they should not underestimate the IQ of rest of the nation. We should tell them as we had no interest in stupid Pakistani cinema – we also have no interest in such talk shows which only make animal race proud.
In the end i would just request that its evident that the 5th column is much active in our country – Mr zaid with TV news one team should counter theor propaganda. people who can speak with knowledge – can also request the TV news one team to invite them to speak for the Pakistanis nation.

Assalamu Alaikum!
Today, me and friend at the univ. were discussing the same thing… the main Q: Why doesn’t Ashfaq P. Kiani take action?
We reached upon a conclusion, and nothing could better summarize it in any other language than Urdu:
“Chalo kaka (Zardari), dekh lete hain yeh “jamhoori” hukumat bhi kya gul khilati hay… Waqt anay pe aa to jayen ge hum wapas” :p
Remember fellow readers @ Pak Alert:
Very few people know that when Pak. was about to set-off the blasts at Chaghi on he 28th of May, 1998, ISRAELI and U.S. jets were hovering over Baluchistan. This is what the Pak. AirForce and Army signaled via radio to the Zionist forces:
“We are the Ummat of Muhammad, sons of Salahudeen Ayubi. Death is dearer to us than life. Our creed is of Shahabuddin Ghauri. Don’t DARE mess with us!…”
And it continued…
That’s the spirit of our Armymen…
There are many controversial chipmunks here who further say that “Since Ashfaq Kiani took some training from the U.S. bla-bla-bla, therefore, he’s PRO-US”…
Whatever…
A mujahid is always a mujahid… Just because the man is silent and currently observing everything from the backstage doesn’t mean he ain’t there…
Allah Khair and May Allah Help Us All!
Aameen…
The only need for Pakistan is to find a suitable Leader, it doesnt matter wheteher it is a politician or an army guy. The only criteria should be:
* He must be sincere and loyal to Pakistan.
* Must be bold with strong nerves. Never compromise on Pakistan’s interest at any cost. unlike our current leaders which dont have courage to speak the truth and are showing apologetic gestures internationaly inspite of the fact that India has orchestrated the Mumbai drama itself, as in the past.
* Must have a clear vision and understanding of the problems, facing by Pakistan.
In the end I salute One TV News for their boldness and dedication to show the true picture to the world. All their anchors are doing great job with complete responsibility and patriotism.
Also I want to salute Mr Zaid Hamid for opening the eyes of the majority of ignorant people.
I request One News and its anchors, Please continue your efforts, as you are doing now. All of the nation is with you.

We have learned nothing. After almost 8 years of military black rule we are again inviting them to topple democracy in Pakistan. Military involvement in civil matters not only destroy country but it is also disastrous for military.
