The only way to restore standing is to charge with full speed ahead. Shed the initial weakness and question the loopholes in the Indian story. The firing of Mr. Durrani provides a great opportunity to revise Pakistan’s talking points on Mumbai. Please don’t let this opportunity slide.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Mr. Prime Minister, your national security adviser has screwed up big time. His strange moves and actions prove that people appointed by President Zardari have brought Pakistani diplomacy down to its knees in the past six weeks. This was by design and not just incompetence.
Your prompt action of sacking Mr. M. A. Durrani restored the confidence of Pakistanis.
His crime is engineering his leaks in a way that make everyone think that Kassab’s links to Pakistan confirm Pakistan’s culpability in the crime.
This, as we show you below, is not the case.
After input from several sources, published and unpublished, I would like to propose here a few actions your government can take to stem the damage and restore Pakistan’s credibility. Please take this seriously because the following is the gist of the hardwork of some fine Pakistani women and men.
- We Don’t Trust India. Period.
Please have yourself or your foreign minister or one of your spokespeople say this clearly. We don’t trust Indian investigations. India’s intents and hostile posturing make it impossible for us to take its evidence at face value. Indian evidence – including Kassab and the dead bodies in Indian custody – will have to be examined by Pakistani experts. Consular access alone is not acceptable.
- Kassab Or Not, India’s Dossier Is Doctored.
Colin Powell presented fake evidence, complete with pictures and illustrations, to UNSC in February 2003. It led to invading Iraq. Today, Pakistan has reason to believe India is doing the same. Faking evidence in high profile cases to gain mileage does happen and has precedent. Let us not be apologetic.
- Pakistan Must Ask India To Pursue All Other Leads In Mumbai Investigation.
The Indian government is hiding the complete facts from its people. It has quashed other equally important leads in the tragedy other than the suspicion of Pakistani involvement. Pakistan demands that India pursue all leads with transparency.
- Pakistan Must Demand India Share Evidence With Interpol
India’s refusal to allow Interpol investigators examine the evidence is suspicious.
- Questions Surrounding Kassab And The Other Terrorists
Pakistani official media and spokespeople must float the following questions:
5.1 Kassab was the only terrorist that was photographed by an unknown Indian source. He was the only one to stay alive and the only one to have been found to be Pakistani national. Pakistani suspicions about the circumstances of Kassab’s involvement are serious and require India to make him available to Pakistani investigators. We need to examine on location how this one terrorist was pictured, who took the picture, and why no one else appeared in the pictured.
5.2 Indian media reports said the bodies of the remaining nine terrorists were mutilated. Where did India get the studio pictures it released of the dead?
5.3 Where is the DNA testing and fingerprints of the dead terrorists?
5.4 India’s proven record of abuse and secret detention of Pakistanis in Indian jails must be officially raised to show that Pakistan suspects the circumstances of the involvement of these terrorists whom India alleges are Pakistanis.
- T-Shirts, Toothpaste and Shaving Cream is not evidence. It is a joke. No case can be built on this.
- Why would ISI, a professional intelligence service, leave such telltale signs behind, if it’s involved as India claims?
- Why would ISI kill Hemant Karkare, the brave Indian police officer who exposed how active duty Indian army offices conspired with Hindu terrorists to kill 60 Pakistani visitors to India in 2006?
- The email, audio tape and telephone evidence is suspect unless and until it is examined by Pakistani experts. To see how these things can be faked, please click here.
The extent of damage that President Zardari and his foreign policy team – sacked security advisor M. A. Durrani, Washington ambassador Husain Haqqani, and U.N. ambassador Abdullah Hussain Haroon – have caused to Pakistani credibility and diplomacy is staggering.

One thing which clearly emerge is that when ever regional powers like Iran, China, Russia and Saudi Arabia officials involve in this issue of Bombay blast and give any statement, as result the situation diffuses.
However when ever any US, UK and Israel official give statement, the mercury rises. Similarly international blinds and deafs like CNN, BBC are also playing similar role as for invading Iraq and Afghanistan.
Existing regime came under CIA sponsored deal between Mush and PPP. They have been appointed for USA strategic goals, why we masses look toward these puppets.
The reality is that the Mush regime was replaced as it lost its utility and became liability for US strategic goals and CIA operations. PPP gave highest bet for US goals as you must have seen drone attacks have raised exponentially during last several months. Similarly crisis at every level is deepening and Pakistan is becoming soft target by each passing day.
The new Islamabad regime and political setups appointed by the orders of USA are the part of the Big Game against the Pakistan and whole region. Elections and voting are legitimacy eye wash for corrupts sons of corrupts. Nevertheless it does not imply that Musharaf was the nice and greatest thing, ever happened to Pakistan. If Musharaf regime is considered as blood cancer to Pakistan then existing regime is like splinter in brain making crisis at each and every level for making omission/commission.
They are ruling only to protect the interests of their Masters and not of Pakistanis. I do not think there is any difference between previous and existing regime. They are one and same; working only for their Masters interest.
Everything are moving according to plans.
Both will doom us in the worst possible way.
The choice is not between Good and Evil, rather Evil and More Evil.

We first discreetly accepted Ajmal Kassab nationality as Pakistani and his involvement in the Mumbai attack. Mr. Durrani leaked it to some news agencies on his own taking cover of the President blessings later. This Breaking news made the PM to sack him at once which shows that PM was not in the privy. Then, Ministry of Interior and the Foreign office contradicted this news saying that investigation is in progress. Then to top it all, Ms. Sherry Rehman our Information Minister sent a SMS to an American agency AP confirming Durrani’s revealition. Following need clarification:-
1. Ajmal Kassab is the lone survivor of the incident. Has any Pakistani representative ever met, spoke and interrogated this man?
2. The evidences collected, collated and analysed by Indians only. More significantly these evidences were not handed over to Pakistan but to the American CIA. It was purposely done to edit, reconstruct and doctor all evidences to make them acceptable to Mr. Zardari without hesitation knowing fully well that evidences produced were countersigned by his master.
3. Have we accepted America as a Judge to decide the Mumbai case and accept the judgment.
4. The evidences received through CIA were not presented in the Cabinet, Parliament and on the media to discuss each evidence threadbear. Furthermore, such evidences are also required to be deliberated legally by the apex court. When the PM was not confided it shows that Pakistan is being run by a shadow government. We have the right to know who takes the decision and how.
5. If Mr. Durrani was sacked then why not Ms. Sherry Rehman and many others including the top man. If our elected members from any party have any self respect, loyality to the nation and Pakistani blood running in their vein, they should resign from the Assembly and the Senate.

Im totaly agree with you Mr. Ahmed, Sir, Pakistani should stand with confidence on this points.
I am also concerned about ISI chief Mr. Pasha’s recent statement. What is the purpose behind his confession that Pakistan has no capability to stop drone attacks at this point. Another statement that he wanted to go to India to discuss Mumbai case but he was stopped by the Army. If Durrani’s act was security breach, Mr. Pasha’s statement tells that we have been enslavened by a few or many bastards in Islamabad and Washington.
