There are prophecies and oracles from around the world that all seem to point to December 21, 2012 as New World Age ( World is not going to end but millions of people will die in the process of New Age Transition). The ancient Mayan Calendar, the medieval predictions of Merlin, the Book of Revelation and the Chinese oracle of the I Ching all point to this specific date as the end of civilization. World War 3 in 2012

A nuclear holocaust is often associated with
World War III.

World War III (also WWIII, or Third World War) denotes a successor to World War II (1939–1945) that would be on a global scale, with common speculation that it would likely be nuclear and devastating in nature.

In the wake of World War I, World War II, the commencement of the Cold War and the development, testing and use of nuclear weapons, there was early widespread speculation as to the next global war.

This war was anticipated and planned for by military and civil authorities, and explored in fiction in many countries. Concepts ranged from limited use of atomic weapons, to destruction of the planet.

In a 2006 interview, US President George W. Bush labeled the ongoing War on Terror as “World War III”.

The United States wants to remain the only superpower with the power to unilaterally control any resources it needs and the government of any country that stands in its way of doing so. Obviously now the foremost target of the United States — and its only dependable partner in imperial overreach, Israel — is the Middle East and Iran. Both the U.S. and Israel want to control Arab and Muslim resources and make big profits for their military and other well-connected contractors. Both want to maintain a U.S.-Israel monopoly on nuclear weapons in the Middle East.
Additionally, Israel and its powerful American lobbies and leaders want to crush any potential challenge to Israel’s possession of stolen Palestinian lands. Tens of millions of American Christian Zionists support Israeli expansionism because they believe it will bring Armageddon and the return of Jesus.
United States military and political leaders, especially under President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, doubtless seek “nuclear primacy” – the ability to first strike both China’s 400 odd nuclear weapons and Russia’s 2,500 “on alert” weapons with minimal retaliation against American targets – i.e., maybe only a hundred U.S. cities would be destroyed and only 75 million Americans die immediately. Israel is especially dangerous because its leaders and supporters have made clear for years that if Israel was every devastated by any kind of war or attack it would retaliate in indiscriminate “Samson Option” attacks against not just on Muslim cities, but against European and even Russian targets. (See “Israeli Nuclear Threats and Blackmail ” .) Russia, of course, would retaliate with thousands of nuclear bombs against the United States.
Given suspected U.S. nuclear primacy plans, Russia could feel compelled to attack the United States for acts like a U.S. nuclear attack on Iran, which is just a few hundred miles from its border. On January 25, 1995 Boris Yeltsin, then President of Russia, came within three minutes of initiating a full nuclear strike on the United States because of one Norwegian scientific rocket Russians could not identify. (Details below.) And U.S. leaders also could be spooked by a nuclear incident, as the 2002 movie “Sum of All Fears” illustrates.
Once there is any use of nuclear weapons, it will be like giving permission for anyone to use them. Compare it to a room full of people embarrassed to cough, but once one does, everyone else feels free to do so.
Any use of nuclear weapons probably will lead to a rapid escalation, “out of control spiral,” to nuclear war among most or all nuclear nations–”world nuclear war.” The U.N. cannot stop it. U.S. imperialism and pre-emptive strikes cannot stop it. Only a worldwide disarmament movement can stop it.
However, none of the several worldwide disarmament movements which have risen or fallen over the last forty years has been able to do it. Unfortunately, most activist organizations have been co-opted by special interests which consider nuclear and military disarmament to be low priorities, some because it would costs workers and executives high paid jobs or big corporations profits, and others because they support a strong U.S. military threat against nations challenging Israel especially and perhaps other allies. The only disarmament movement that can succeed is one which is willing to keep an arms length from union, corporate and pro-Israel interests that put jobs and Israel before nuclear safety and to make Middle East nuclear disarmament a top priority.
The only thing that may be able to end the possibility of nuclear war for good and forever is the non-violent dissolution of war-torn and warring nation states into non-violent self-determining communities and city states. These smaller entities would have to destroy all nuclear weapons since they could not afford to keep or use them. (See my site Secession.Net for ideas about this radical decentralist alternative). Unfortunately, barring some unusual rise in human consciousness, such radical dissolution is likely to happen only after a nuclear war has killed hundreds of millions or even billions of people.

Tour The Greenbrier Bunker

During the Cold War the United States government maintained a top-secret underground bunker in the mountains of West Virginia. I found this article to be a very interesting topic as we know that according to scripture, what the Bible calls “Daniel’s 70th Week” (a.k.a., The Tribulation, The Great Tribulation (2nd half), Time of Jacob’s Trouble, The Day of the Lord) is rapidly approaching. There will not only be nuclear warfare in the coming months, years; but there will also be a comet or asteroid striking the earth as well.

I personally believe, and hold the interpretation of a Futurist, that there will be two occurrences, one from Rev 6:12-17 and another from Rev 8:10-11 (The bible even gives this second one a name; “wormwood“, if that is indeed what it is referring to… you decide.)

Our very own Bill Gates, along with the Rockefeller Foundation, Monsanto Corporation, Syngenta Foundation and the Government of Norway, among others, in what is called the ‘doomsday seed bank.’ Even though there are several seed banks currently in existence; this one is the backup to all of the others.

Officially the project is named the Svalbard Global Seed Vault on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen, part of the Svalbard island group.

LONGYEARBYEN, Norway (CNN) – Thu February 28, 2008 — A vast underground vault storing millions of seeds from around the world is scheduled to open this week in a mountain on a remote island near the Arctic Ocean.

Dubbed the “Doomsday Vault,” the seed bank is considered the ultimate safety net for the world’s seed collections, protecting them from a wide range of threats including war, natural disasters, lack of funding or simply poor agricultural management.

The Norwegian government paid to build the vault in a mountainside near Longyearbyen, in the remote Svalbard islands between Norway and the North Pole. Building began last year, and the vault is scheduled to open officially Tuesday.

Doomsday Seed Vault

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault, as it is officially known, can hold as many as 4.5 million seed samples and will eventually house almost every variety of most important food crops in the world, according to the Global Crop Diversity Trust, which is paying to collect and maintain the seeds.

The United Nations founded the trust in 2004 to support the long-term conservation of crop diversity, and countries and foundations provide the funding.

“The seed vault is the perfect place for keeping seeds safe for centuries,” said Cary Fowler, executive director of the trust. “At these temperatures, seeds for important crops like wheat, barley and peas can last for up to 10,000 years.”

The vault’s location deep inside a mountain in the frozen north ensures the seeds can be stored safely no matter what happens outside.

“We believe the design of the facility will ensure that the seeds will stay well-preserved even if such forces as global warming raise temperatures outside the facility,” said Magnus Bredeli Tveiten, project manager for the Norwegian government.

Doomsday Seed Vault Interior The vault sits at the end of a 120-meter (131-yard) tunnel blasted inside the mountain. Workers used a refrigeration system to bring the vault to -18 degrees Celsius (just below 0 degrees Fahrenheit), and a smaller refrigeration system plus the area’s natural permafrost and the mountain’s thick rock will keep the vault at least -4 C (25 F).

The vault at Svalbard is similar to an existing seed bank in Sussex, England, about an hour outside London. The British vault, called the Millennium Seed Bank, is part of an scientific project that works with wild plants, as opposed to the seeds of crops.

Paul Smith, the leader of the Millennium Seed Bank project, said preserving the seeds of wild plants is just as important as preserving the seeds of vital crops.

“We must give ourselves every option in the future to use the whole array of plant diversity that is available to us,” Smith told CNN.

The idea for the Arctic seed bank dates to the 1980s but only became a possibility after the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources came into force in 2004, the Norwegian government said. The treaty provided an international framework for conserving and accessing crop diversity.

The Norwegian government says it has paid 50 million Norwegian Kroner ($9.4 million) to build the seed vault.

During the trial Helen Duncan submitted to much testing, having her stomach x-rayed to prove it was normal. In spite of the fact that some of the most knowledgeable people within Spiritualism spoke on her behalf, Helen Duncan was found guilty and imprisoned for nine months.

Israeli Professor:’We Could Destroy All European Capitals’

(IAP News) — An Israeli professor and military historian hinted that Israel could avenge the holocaust by annihilating millions of Germans and other Europeans.

Speaking during an interview which was published in Jerusalem Friday, Professor Martin Van Creveld said Israel had the capability of hitting most European capitals with nuclear weapons.

“We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets of our air force.”

Creveld, a professor of military history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, pointed out that “collective deportation” was Israel’s only meaningful strategy towards the Palestinian people.

“The Palestinians should all be deported. The people who strive for this (the Israeli government) are waiting only for the right man and the right time. Two years ago, only 7 or 8 per cent of Israelis were of the opinion that this would be the best solution, two months ago it was 33 per cent, and now, according to a Gallup poll, the figure is 44 percent.”

Creveld said he was sure that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon wanted to deport the Palestinians.

“I think it’s quite possible that he wants to do that. He wants to escalate the conflict. He knows that nothing else we do will succeed.”

Asked if he was worried about Israel becoming a rogue state if it carried out a genocidal deportation against Palestinians, Creveld quoted former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan who said “Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.”

Creveld argued that Israel wouldn’t care much about becoming a rogue state.

“Our armed forces are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that this will happen before Israel goes under.”

Video: Israeli Australian Ambassador Slips Up – Iran War this year!

After ordering a cameraman to turn off his camera, Israeli Ambassador to Australia Yuval Rotem engaged in a very frank discussion about the recent Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, calling it “a preintroduction” to an attack on Iran that Israel apparently expects within the year.

Before the camera was turned off, Ambassador Rotem said “the best thing to do is to have a very open dialogue if there are no reporters or journalists here,” adding “I am far more reserved in the way I am saying my things (on camera).” Unbeknownst to him however Sarah Cummings, a reporter for Australia’s Seven News service, was actually in attendance at the meeting after having been “accidentally” invited.

Israel has repeatedly threatened to attack Iran, and while its officials have repeatedly attempted to tie the Iranian government to its war on the Gaza Strip this is the first time one of their officials has publicly (if inadvertently so) suggested that the attack on the strip was a warm-up to its long talked about attack on Iran.

US President George W. Bush said a nuclear Iran would mean World War III. Israeli newscasts featured Gog & Magog maps of the likely alignment of nations in that potential conflict.

Channel 2 and Channel 10 TV showed the world map, sketching the basic alignment of the two opposing axes in a coming world war, in a manner evoking associations of the Gog and Magog prophecy for many viewers. The prophecy of Gog and Magog refers to a great world war centered on the Holy Land and Jerusalem and first appears in the book of Yechezkel (Ezekiel).

On one side were Israel, the United States, Britain, France and Germany. On the other were Iran, Russia, China, Syria and North Korea.

US President Bush said Wednesday during a press conference that Iran attaining nuclear weapons raises the risk of “World War III.”

“If Iran had a nuclear weapon, it’d be a dangerous threat to world peace,” Bush said. “So I told people that if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested [in preventing a nuclear Iran]…I take the threat of Iran with a nuclear weapon very seriously.” Read more

United States President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin have been in a war of words this week, with Bush suggesting that the Iranian nuclear program could be the lynchpin for launching World War III.

“So I’ve told people that, if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon” and “we got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel. My intent is to continue to rally the world, to send a focused signal to the Iranian government that we will continue to work to isolate you in the hopes that at some point somebody else shows up and says it’s not worth the isolation,” said Bush during a press conference.

The Tehran Times responded to Bush reporting that “either Bush has gone totally mad and now makes statements without consulting his advisors, or the neo-conservatives are dreaming of a new world order and no longer feel compelled to hide their goal and U.S. officials should put a muzzle on Bush to prevent him from giving people the impression that the United States is the main threat to world peace.” Read more

In the wake of World War I, World War II, the commencement of the Cold War and the development, testing and use of nuclear weapons, there was early widespread speculation as to the next global war.

In a 2006 interview, US President George W. Bush labeled the ongoing War on Terror as “World War III”.

Historical close calls

Before the end of the Second World War, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill expressed concern that given the enormous size of Soviet forces deployed in Europe at the end of the war, and the perception that the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin was unreliable, there existed a Soviet threat to Western Europe. In April-May 1945, British Armed Forces developed Operation Unthinkable; its primary goal was “to impose upon Russia the will of the United States and the British Empire.”^[6] However, the plan was rejected by the British Chiefs of Staff Committee as militarily unfeasible.

The crisis peaked on October 27, when a U-2 (piloted by Rudolph Anderson) was shot down over Cuba and another U-2 over the USSR was almost intercepted when it strayed over Siberia, after Curtis LeMay (U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff) had neglected to enforce Presidential orders to suspend all overflights. October 24, 1973: Yom Kippur War: As the Yom Kippur War was winding down, a Soviet threat to intervene on Egypt’s behalf caused the United States to go to DEFCON 3.
September 26, 1983: False “US First Strike” Alarm: Soviet early warning systems showed that a US ICBM attack had been launched. Colonel Stanislav Petrov, in command of the monitoring facility, correctly interpreted the warnings as a computer error, even though this was against standing orders.
November 1983: Exercise Able Archer: The USSR mistook a test of NATO’s nuclear-release procedures as a fake cover for a NATO attack and subsequently raised its nuclear alert level. It was not until afterwards that the US realized how close it had come to nuclear war. At the time of the exercise the Soviet Politburo was without a healthy functioning head due to the failing health of then leader Yuri Andropov.
January 25, 1995: Norwegian rocket incident: A Norwegian missile launch for scientific research was detected from Andøya Rocket Range and thought to be an attack on Russia, launched from a submarine five minutes away from Moscow. Norway had notified the world that it would be making the launch, but the Russian Defense Ministry had neglected to notify those monitoring Russia’s nuclear defense systems.
June 12 – June 26, 1999: Pristina airport standoff: Russian and NATO forces had a standoff over the Pristina Airport in Kosovo.^[7]

PAST THREATS OF WORLD NUCLEAR WAR

During the “Cold War”

The 1945-1989 “Cold War” between the U.S.S.R. and the United States was one long nuclear standoff. These threats continued into even the late 1990s and could easily be prompted by some new regional crisis, especially as the United States continues to build military bases all around Russia’s perimeter.
David R. Morgan, National President, Veterans Against Nuclear Arms, describes in detail 16 threats to use nuclear weapons — most of them from the United States, many of which continue as standing threats: 1946-Iran and Yugoslavia; 1948-Berlin; 1950-Korea; 1954-Vietnam and China; 1956-Suez; 1958-China; 1959 and 1961-Berlin; 1962 Cuba (the most famous and most dangerous situation); 1969-Vietnam; 1970-Jordan; 1973-Israel; 1980-Iran; 1983-Reagan’s First Strike threats. And of course both the United States and Israel have repeatedly made it clear “no option” is off the table, first against Iraq and now against Iran.
In my studies of the Middle East, I discovered the U.S. military presence has included other threats to use nuclear weapons to prevent any “Soviet aggression” in the area and especially to protect Israel. In 1956, President Eisenhower threatened to use nuclear weapons if the U.S.S.R. became involved in the Suez Crisis. In 1958, Eisenhower threatened Soviet-backed Egypt and Syria to keep them from interfering in Lebanon. In 1967, President Johnson considered using nuclear weapons during the Arab-Israeli war and the Washington-Moscow hot line was used for the first time. In 1973, during another Arab-Israeli war, President Nixon declared a nuclear alert that moved U.S. readiness to “DEFCON III”. In 1979, after the invasion of Afghanistan, President Carter threatened to use “any means necessary”, including nuclear weapons, in order to maintain U.S. supremacy in the Middle East. Israel’s 1982 invasion of Lebanon, which included clashes with Syrian and Soviet troops, nearly triggered a nuclear alert.
And U.S. ally Israel, in its efforts to hold on to and even expand what hundreds of hundreds of millions of Muslims consider to be “colonized” and “occupied” land in Israel and the occupied territories, has often used the nuclear threat. The Federation of American scientists site notes: : Strategically, Israel uses its long-range missiles and nuclear-capable aircraft (and, some say, submarines with nuclear-armed cruise missiles) to deter both conventional and unconventional attacks, or to launch “the Samson Option”, an all-out attack against an adversary should defenses fail and population centers be threatened. In a lengthy article on Israel’s nuclear capability, anti-nuclear activists John Steinbach writes: ” Israel has made countless veiled nuclear threats against the Arab nations and against the Soviet Union (and by extension Russia since the end of the Cold War) One chilling example comes from Ariel Sharon, the current Israeli Prime Minister “Arabs may have the oil, but we have the matches.” See more on Israeli nuclear weapons and its numerous “Samson Option” threats by Israeli leaders and their supporters.
The Soviet Union and later Russia also have used the nuclear threat. Angered by the United States placing nuclear missiles in Turkey in the early sixties, Soviet leader Nikita Kruschev placed nuclear weapons in Cuba, leading to the Cuban missile crisis, the closest the world has come so far to nuclear war. (President Kennedy did not know there really were nuclear weapons when he threatened to invade and this information was released only after the fall of the Soviet Union.) Nevertheless, the nuclear standoff led to the Soviet Union withdrawing their nuclear missiles from Cuba and the U.S. withdrawing them from Turkey.

During the 1999 NATO Bombings of Serbia

During the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia, Russian leaders repeatedly inferred that if bombing continued or ground troops entered Serbia, it might lead to nuclear war with Russia. A series of quotes, right up until the bombing stopped, illustrate how serious they were.
“I told NATO, the Americans, the Germans: Don’t push us toward military action. Otherwise there will be a European war for sure and possibly world war.” Russian President Boris Yeltsin, April 6, 1999
“In the event that NATO and America start a ground operation in Yugoslavia, they will face a second Vietnam, I do not want to forecast what is going to start then. I cannot rule out a third world war.” Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, April 17, 1999

Someone, we don’t know who, could send up a missile from a ship or a submarine and detonate a nuclear weapon high over the United States. The EMP (electromagnetic pulse that destroys electronic and computer equipment) would take away all your capability.” Vladimir Lukin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Foreign Policy Committee, late April, 1999

India and Pakistan

India and Pakistan have repeatedly threatened nuclear war against each other, most seriously in the last few years. In late December 2002 Pakistan’s president, General Pervez Musharraf, addressing Air Force veterans in Karachi, said: he last year “personally” conveyed a clear “message” to Prime Minister Vajpayee, “through every international leader who came to Pakistan”, namely, that Indian troops “should not expect a conventional war from Pakistan” if they “moved a single step across the international border or the Line of Control”. In response Indian Defense Minister George Fernandez said: “We can take a bomb or two, or more. When we respond, there will be no Pakistan.” About the same time former Army Chief of Staff Aslam Beg, then heading a right-wing Pakistani think tank said: “Our policy of deterrence is India-specific. No matter who comes for us, Israel, the United States or India we will take on India. If someone is thinking of taking on Pakistan they should know we will take on India.” And despite subsequent detente between the two nations during the remainder of 2003, as late as fall, 2003 Ariel Sharon visited India, worrying Pakistan that he was once again proposing India do a surgical strike against Pakistani nuclear assets. Once any such a Indian-Pakistani nuclear exchange began, there are a number of scenarios by which it could escalate into accidental or intentional world nuclear war.

During Run Up to U.S. War on Iraq

Sharon eyes ‘Samson option’ against Iraq …November 2002 News.Scotsman.Com [Israeli Prime Minister Ariel] Sharon – who is courting extreme right-wingers to prop up his teetering government following the withdrawal of the Labour Party last week – has spoken openly of his willingness to strike back, and strike back hard, should his country be attacked by Iraq. … Sharon’s blunt admission that a retaliatory strike would be ordered in the event of an attack on Israel with non-conventional weapons came after discussions with US President George W Bush.
Israeli officials later interpreted the president’s stance as giving the green-light to Sharon to attack Baghdad only if Iraq launched a pre-emptive strike against the Jewish State before an American military campaign had got underway.
The officials said if an American military offensive had already begun, then Israel should show restraint and allow the US forces to retaliate.

U.S. Weighs Tactical Nuclear Strike on Iraq Paul Richter, January 25, 2003, Los Angeles Times. As the Pentagon continues a highly visible buildup of troops and weapons in the Persian Gulf, it is also quietly preparing for the possible use of nuclear weapons in a war against Iraq, according to a report by a defense analyst. . .Military officials have been focusing their planning on the use of tactical nuclear arms in retaliation for a strike by the Iraqis with chemical or biological weapons, or to preempt one, Arkin says. His report, based on interviews and a review of official documents, appears in a column that will be published in The Times on Sunday. . . Critics contend that a bunker-buster strike could involve a huge radiation release and dangerous blast damage. They also say that use of a nuclear weapon in such circumstances would encourage other nuclear-armed countries to consider using such weapons in more kinds of situations and would badly undermine the half-century effort to contain the spread of nuclear arms. . .In a policy statement issued only last month, the White House said the United States “will continue to make clear that it reserves the right to respond with overwhelming force — including through resort to all of our options — to the use of weapons of mass destruction against the United States.”

Bush refuses to rule out nuclear weapons March 23, 2003, News.Scotsman.com President George W Bush today refused to rule out the prospect of US forces using nuclear weapons if they were subjected to a chemical or biological attack in Iraq. Speaking at a joint press conference with Tony Blair at Camp David, the US president was asked whether, if coalition forces were subjected to a chemical weapons attack by Saddam Hussein, the US would use its nuclear capability. Mr Bush replied: “If he uses weapons of mass destruction, it will just prove our case. And we will deal with it. We have got one objective in mind, that is victory. And we will achieve victory.”

Against Iran

The Unthinkable: The US- Israeli Nuclear War on Iran by Michel Chossudovsky (January 21, 2007) There is mounting evidence that the Bush Administration in liaison with Israel and NATO is planning the launching of a nuclear war against Iran, ironically, in retaliation for its nonexistent nuclear weapons program. BLITZER: Here’s the most explosive item in your new article in The New Yorker magazine. And I’ll read it: “The lack of reliable intelligence leaves military planners, given the goal of totally destroying the sites,” the nuclear sites in Iran, “little choice but to consider the use of tactical nuclear weapons. ‘Every other option, in the view of the nuclear weaponeers, would leave a gap,’ the former senior intelligence official said. ‘Decisive’ is the key word of the Air Force’s planning. It’s a tough decision, but we made it in Japan.” Now, this is an explosive charge, an explosive revelation, if true, that the United States is seriously considering using a tactical nuclear bomb or bombs to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

HERSH: What you just read says this. If you’re giving the White House a series of options, and the option is to get rid of an underground facility — the facility I’m talking about is Natanz, 75 feet under hard rock — if you want to tell the White House one sure way of getting it in a range of options is nuclear, what happened in this case is they gave that option, the JCS, the Joint Chiefs [of Staff].
And then, of course, nobody in their right mind would want to use a nuclear weapon in the Middle East, because it would be, my God, totally chaotic. When the JCS, the Joint Chiefs, and the planners wanted to walk back that option, what happened is about three or four weeks ago, the White House, people in the White House, in the Oval Office, the vice president’s office, said, no, let’s keep it in the plan.
That doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. They refuse to take it out. And what I’m writing here is that if this isn’t removed — and I say this very seriously. I’ve been around this town for 40 years — some senior officers are prepared to resign. They’re that upset about the fact that this plan is kept in. Again, let me make the point, you’re giving a range of options early in the planning. To be sure of getting rid of it, you give that option.

World War III

On October 16, 2007, Vladimir Putin visited Iran to discuss Russia’s aid to Iran’s nuclear power program and “insisted that the use of force was unacceptable.” On October 17, Bush stated “if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon,” understood as a message to Putin. On October 26 Putin compared U.S. plans to put up a missile defense system near Russia’s border as analogous to when the Soviet Union deployed missiles in Cuba, prompting the Cuban Missile Crisis which brought the US and the Soviet Union close to nuclear war in 1962. On November 8 Bush said: “If you want to see World War Three, you know, a way to do that is to attack Israel with a nuclear weapon.” This is interpreted as a comment about Israel’s use of the Samson Option to target Russia, which would retaliate with nuclear weapons against the United States.

The contemporary astronomers concur with the Mayans. On 21st of December, 2012, the Earth will be in exact alignment with the Sun and the center of our milky way galaxy, a galactic event which takes place only once every 25,800 years! No one knows what effect this extraordinary alignment will have on our planet, but the Mayans believe it would be terrible!

Earth changes based on Mayan

Precisely at midnight on Dec. 21, 2012, the planets Pluto, Uranus and Neptune will be in perfect alignment, an extremely rare event that takes place only once in 26,000 years.

The Mayan calendar has predicted this long before the telescope was invented. The Mayans were able to predict eclipses of the sun, although these were not visible to them. They were able to calculate the average revolution of Venus with an error of just one day in 6,000 years.

How these ancient and simple people were able to do all these without the use of modern instrument has never been discovered. Nor why their civilization suddenly vanished around 800 CE.

This cosmic event which will occur on Dec. 21, 2012 is known as “galactic synchronization.” This means that the earth and solar system will be in line with the plane of our galaxy, the Milky Way. According to the Mayan calendar, this astronomical synchronization marks the end of the present world age or cycle and the birth or beginning of a new one.

The Mayan prophecy does not say nor does it imply that it would be the end of the world. But certain unprecedented changes would take place on planet Earth that will affect all its inhabitants. Planet Earth is on the last 5,126 years of its present cycle which, according to the Mayan calendar, began on Aug. 13, 3114 BC and will end on Dec. 21, 2012.

“The Maya,” according to Gerald Benedict, in his fascinating and important book, “The Mayan Prophecies for 2012,” were able to work with vast periods of time and calculated that it would take a cycle of approximately 26,000 years for a constellation to reappear over the same observation point on earth. Modern astronomy has confirmed this period as 25,800 years.

According to Benedict, “What will actually happen is that at sunrise on Dec. 21, 2012, the sun forms a conjunction with the galactic center of the Milky Way at the constellation of Scorpio. Because of the precession of the equinoxes the winter Solstice sunrise has been moving toward that point of the Milky Way known as the ‘galactic center.’ Thus, the planet Earth and the solar system will come into galactic junction with the rest of the universe.”

And what, according to the Mayan Prophecies, will happen to our planet at the end of this present earth cycle?

1. “There will be violent sunspot activity that will cause a radical change in the Earth’s magnetic fields, perhaps amounting to a reversal of the poles.”

According to Benedict, even the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has confirmed this. NASA has predicted that there would be very intense solar storm in 2012, and the sun would reverse its magnetic poles because of the ending of the 11-year sunspot cycle. This would cause disturbances in the Earth’s magnetic fields.

2. “The end of each Mayan age, or sun, is marked by extreme natural catastrophe. The Earth will experience violent earthquakes and volcanoes together with the side effects these produce.”

What do the world’s major religions say about the end of the world?

The planet’s major religions each have their own beliefs about the end of the world, the triumph of good over evil and Judgment Day. In Christianity, the Book of Revelation, the last chapter of the Bible’s New Testament, mentions Armageddon, the final battle on Earth between the forces of God and Satan. The word Armageddon is thought to come from the Hebrew for “mount of Megiddo.” Located in present-day Israel, Megiddo, an ancient, strategically positioned city, was the site of a number of battles. Some Christians interpret the Book of Revelation as a roadmap that lays out exactly how the world will end. They contend that Judgment Day will take place on Armageddon and Jesus will save the true believers, while non-believers left behind will face enormous suffering.

In Islam, the end of the world is referred to as the Hour and involves Jesus returning to Damascus to slay an anti-Christ who has put the planet in peril. With the anti-Christ out of the picture, a period of perfect harmony will ensue. Jesus will later die a natural death, which will usher in a time of destruction that leads directly to the Hour. In Judaism, there is no term for Armageddon, but there are references in the Hebrew bible to events that could be compared with Armageddon, including the Day of the Lord (in which God causes death and destruction to people who deserve to be punished) and the War of Gog and Magog (in which Israel and its god fight their enemies, rather than an anti-Christ!).

In Hinduism, there is the story of the god Vishnu coming back in the last cycle of time as a figure called Kulki, who rides a white horse, carries a sword that looks like a comet and destroys the forces of evil. In some Buddhist prophecies, the equivalent of Armageddon is Shambhala, in which good triumphs over evil; however, the planet is restored rather than destroyed so people can pursue enlightenment.

When Time Moves Faster

Among the Signs of the Last Day as disclosed by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is that “time would move faster – so that a whole year would pass like a month, a month would pass like a week, a week like a day, a day like an hour, and an hour like the amount of time it takes to kindle a fire.” Why so?

New Orleans and the Signs of the Last Day

Prophetic Signs that we are in the End Times

The Bible gives many examples of signs that should warn us of the coming end of the age. Six such signs are given by Jesus, two characteristics are given by Paul, and eleven other occurrences are given by the prophets to occur prior to or soon after the end of the age. While we are also told we will not know the time of the End, God obviously wanted us to know when that time was getting closer. Many people are discussing 2012 as the end of the world due to interpretations of predictions contained in the Mayan calendar. The Mayan civilization was extremely advanced in mathematics, engineering and astronomy. They also had an incredible understanding of time and space. Various calendars were in use to track time in linear progressions within cycles. The “Great Cycle” of the “Long Count” calendar equates to 5,125.36 years. The current Great Cycle is due to be completed on the winter solstice of 2012, December 21. So, it has been interpreted that on this day, the Great Cycle ends, time ends, so the Earth must end as well. However, there are different opinions on what this end date really means.

As mentioned, some believe cataclysmic events will take place in 2012 with the ultimate destruction occurring on December 21, 2012. Others believe that the world will not end, but instead humanity will enter a new age, marked by significant changes physically and mentally.

It appears open to interpretation as to whether 2012 will bring total destruction or a transformation of our world. So, below are prophecies (not necessarily Mayan) for 2012:

1. There have been three or four previous races and ages of humanity (depending upon the source you read). All of these have been destroyed in major cataclysms. December 21.2012 marks the end of this age and it will end in major catastrophes such as Earthquakes. (see commentary on this statement below)

2. For half of the katun (20 year Mayan cycle) there will be food, for half some misfortunes. This katun brings the end of the “word of God.” It is a time of uniting for a cause.

3. As we pass through transition there is a colossal, global convergence of environmental destruction, social chaos, war and ongoing Earth changes.

4. The Earth will undergo a magnetic field shift, reversing the polarity of the planet.

5. An asteroid or comet will collide with the Earth.

I am from India, I am impressed with your blog. But regarding this prediction theory, I would suggest to do a service for people by soothing them rather than shocking them.

I would like to ask that how can you just show “A VIDEO OF FUTURE”? It is an artist’s imagination of future that the video depends upon. If an artist makes a scary video, that would definitely scare the public. If you think this is the right way of presentation, then tell me why the wrong way is wrong?

If you think those documentaries are predictions, then I think they are just the imagination of the artist. I’m saying this because I have a point.

The religious calendars say there is an end point to a civilization. But they did not say that ITS GONNA BE DEFINITELY CATASTROPHIC, IT ENDS WITH ICE AGE OR VOLCANO, SO WHY DID THE “WORDLY DAMAGE” picture comes framed out. Just because the NAT-GEO or some other channels say it. They say because of Nielsen ratings. What ever they say, the truth or false, they know if they don’t get the ratings, they don’t get their bread. See, it again comes to basics.

They say Its gonna be end of bad and coming of the good, but what is good and what is bad is not defined yet. If you think World War 3 or a volcano is the way to end the evil, think again, isn’t it an evil way to end? And I guess, I needn’t remind you that evil doesn’t win evil(speaking ideally, because nobody thinks this prediction is realistic).

If you ever think there’s gonna be a World war 3, then remember, It would benefit neither India or Pakistan nor the rest of the world.

Be optimistic, I have to remind you the Y2K bug problem that happened to be in the year 2000. Even though there were no big preventive measures, the catastrophe was far lesser than expected. Expect this same way, besides Y2k was scientific, this is not. So, expect even better.

There is a common misconception that I’ve seen on numerous websites. Noting the convergence of various ancient prophecies of the end of the current era by some cosmic catastrophe, many writers also extend the concept to the specific date, Dec. 21, 2012. It’s true that several sources do point to that date, either specifically or implicitly– but NOT, as too often stated, the Book of Revelation. In fact, nowhere in the Bible is a specific date stated for the end of the age, and not even in the books devoted to ‘eschatology’ (end times) are ANY dates mentioned or implied. So for writers to throw in the Book of Revelation in a list of ostensible traditional sources pointing to 21-12-2012, is simply wrong. When I see this done, it makes me wonder about the validity of the other references in those lists. It’s easy to just cite the Mayan ‘prophecies’, the I Ching, Nostradamus, the Farmer’s Almanac, or whatever. The question is ‘do they really mention that date? I think it’s sloppy writing to claim something on the basis of hearsay. The Mayan calendar stops at ’13 baktun;’ and scholars have determined that this equates to 21-12-2012. Other sources do, also, point to the winter solstice of 2012 as a critical time marker in human history. In the Bible, Jesus states plainly: “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone” (Matt 24:36). ‘That day’ refers to the ‘Day of the Lord,’ or the end of the age.

a new age eh.. i find it funny myself to see everyone trying to claim their religion sees it correctly. though it seems all religions seem to point to a end of the world. or a change in the world rather.
im one of the rare who hope this happens. a change is what we need. what “she” needs. the earth we so soiled and the few who tried to save. its been known that if we destroy greenland a freeze will come and another iceage will happen just like it has before for many many many centuries. i myself even as a agnostic see this as only fair. though i feel im the only one i know i feel this way for a reason. may peace be with all.

Every thirteen thousand years the entire earth’s crust (only thirteen miles thick) shifts because of the weight of this water, which ends up on the equator after the shift.

Every mythological system on the planet, from South America to Africa to the east is virtually identical, recording an ‘end of the world’ scenario – fire, mountains (the sky) falling – followed by a flood.

There are specific, mathematically correct, geophysical proofs recently recorded by Mr. Graham Hancock, author of ‘Fingerprints of the Gods’, which have convinced me that this is fact, and should be communicated.

Graham Hancock’s work, “Fingerprints of the Gods” is a must read..

Because, if he is right – and there is no available argument to the contrary – we have three hundred-odd years to prepare for the next crustal shift, probably by melting the poles..

However, the Bible also warns about date setting.

To say eactly when is foolish because no one really knows but “…only the Father in Heaven…”.

We’re just told to keep watch and be prepared.

Gog and Magog
There is much confusion about the names of Gog and Magog. Sometimes it is the name of a person, and sometimes it is the name of a nation. Sometimes Gog or Magog are described as brothers, and sometimes Gog is the king of the Magog.
Revelations tells of the end of the world, when Gog and Magog are let loose.
Saint Augustine describes it in his book City of God as:
“And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed from his prison, and shall go out to seduce the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, and shall draw them to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.”
This, then, is his purpose in seducing them, to draw them to this battle. For even before this he was wont to use as many and various seductions as he could continue. And the words “he shall go out” mean, he shall burst forth from lurking hatred into open persecution. For this persecution, occurring while the final judgment is imminent, shall be the last which shall be endured by the holy Church throughout the world, the whole city of Christ being assailed by the whole city of the devil, as each exists on earth.
For these nations which he names Gog and Magog are not to be understood of some barbarous nations in some part of the world, whether the Getae and Massagetae, as some conclude from the initial letters, or some other foreign nations not under the Roman government. For John marks that they are spread over the whole earth, when he says, “The nations which are in the four corners of the earth,” and he added that these are Gog and Magog. The meaning of these names we find to be, Gog, (a roof), Magog, (from a roof)- a house, as it were, and he who comes out of the house. They are therefore the nations in which we found that the devil was shut up as in an abyss, and the devil himself coming out from them and going forth, so that they are the roof, he from the roof. ”
In the Bible, it is unclear where this kingdom is located- the Jewish historian Josephus associates it with “Scythia” but this was often used as a generic term for many of the northern tribes. It may also refer to Tartars, Mongols, or Turks. Other versions stated that Gog and Magog were the descendants of the ten tribes of Israel, who had worshipped the golden calf, and ignored Moses.
Another legend gives Alexander the Great the credit for walling off the Gog and Magog. During his conquests and travels he came to a region in the Caucases, the mountain range between Europe and Asia. There he found the Gog and Magog terrorizing the area. Alexander built a wall and gates in a narrow pass between two mountains to seal them out.
There are different versions of what the wall was made of- brambles, iron, brass, or asiceton (a magic metal.) There are different versions of what else Alexander left there- statues of bronze trumpeters whose horns fool the Gog and Magog into thinking a huge army is on the other side, or a stone eagle that screams if they tried to escape. But some day the gates will open and the Gog and Magog will come out and destroy the world.
The Koran and Islamic literature have a story that is very similar to the Alexander legend. It tells of a great king called Dhoo’l-Qarnayn (or Dhucarnain) who ruled much territory. In the eastern part, there was a valley between two mountains where Gog and Magog (also called Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj) came through. They were spreading corruption and terror. Dhoo’l-Qarnayn built a huge wall in the valley out of iron and copper that Gog and Magog could not climb over. But they began to dig underneath and have been doing so for hundreds of years, and when they finally get through, they will burst out, eating, drinking, and killing. This will be the end of the world.
Pliny does not mention the Gog and Magog by name, but he tells of the Gates of the Caucuses (erroneously called the Caspian Gates.) Here, the mountains have been torn apart, and
“Gates have been placed, with iron covered beams, under the center of which flows a river emitting a horrible odor; and on this side of it on a rock stands the fortress called Cumania, erected for the purpose of barring the passage of the innumerable tribes.” (Rackham, 1942)
Marco Polo thought that Gog and Magog were the Mongols. According to him, the native names were “Ung and Mungul”- the Gog lived in Ung, and the Tartars lived in Mungul.
The location of Gog and Magog has moved throughout history. Some may have confused it with early reports of the Great Wall of China. Usually though, it represents an area with heathen barbarians in it that pose a threat to the good religious people on the other side.

Gog and Magog is placed in the region of Russia or Mongolia, on the 10 o’clock position on this map.

I will summon every kind of terror against Gog, says the Lord GOD; every man’s sword will be against his brother. So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
These, the first known mentions of the names Gog and Magog, occur in the Bible and are brief, jumbled and vague. Some of the place-names can be tentatively identified: Madai may be Media, and the words Meshech and Tubal seem to appear in Assyrian inscriptions as ‘Muschu’ and ‘Tabal’. Names change and place-names change and the whole matter may be apocryphal anyway. Any place north of the Holy Land may be the land of Gog and Magog; Gog may be a person and Magog a nation; the Magog of the Genesis reference is certainly a person (the descendent of Noah through Japeth) but the Magog of the other references is apparently a nation or tribe. Take your pick.
. . . But, for some reason, ‘Gog and Magog’ became a nation or nations, with a life of their own, separate from their Biblical source. They passed into the romantic legends of Alexander the Great, which have been rife in Asia since the time of Alexander himself. They appear in the Koran, which has its own version of the Gog and Magog story; from these sources, they spread into common currency and become part of the Old World’s travel myths–fables which spread among educated men, during those centuries when most of the earth was still terra incognita.
Here is the first form of the legend.
Before about 500 After Ascention, references to Gog and Magog occur many times, in the preserved sermons and letters of St Jerome and other early Christians; whenever Christendom was threatened by invaders, the names of Gog and Magog seem to have been bandied about. There is evidence of a lively debate on just whom was meant by Gog and Magog: when the Scythians threatened, it was the Scythians; when the Huns threatened, it was the Huns; and when the Alans threatened, someone would call the Alans ‘Gog and Magog’; so too with the Khazars, the Turks, the Magyars, the Parthians, the Mongols.
Marco Polo in the thirteenth century thought that Gog and Magog must be represented by the Mongol horde which had just conquered most of the East . . . And so on, and so on–presumably, just as a present-day demagogue might say: “So-and-so is the Antichrist!” or, perhaps, “America is the Great Satan!” Gog and Magog were the enemy beyond the gate–just waiting to pounce.
This state of affairs continued about the end of the 17th century, at which time the legend of Gog and Magog died away; today it is largely forgotten. And the reason for this? Until the 17th century, Asia for Europeans was terra incognita. The Christians of Europe were certain that the land of Gog and Magog lay somewhere to the northeast; after the 17th century, Europeans began to travel in Asia and write accounts of their experiences . . . and as they explored, they pushed back the location of Gog and Magog’s land until at last it was fairly certain there was no Gog and Magog’s land; and once that became known, the legend ceased to be told.
And the reason that Europeans did not travel in Asia? Well, the East was vast, and the trade routes across it were guarded by Persian and Arab merchants; the Christians of Rome and Byzantium never got much further than the Holy Land. After the time of the Prophet (in the seventh century) the Islamic revolution swept across all Persia–almost in an eyeblink against the map of the centuries. Christians were not welcome in Muslim
lands; the Zoroastrian and Buddhist peoples of Persia fled into India and the Himalayas; the Jews coexisted with the Muslims, basing themselves around Baghdad. In the north, the Islamic armies swept up into the present-day Soviet republics . . . and were turned back by formidable land barriers–deserts, seas, mountains ranges galore, arranged in a de facto wall encircling Persia. These mountains and deserts and seas were not impassable–for caravan travel and small parties on horseback and camelback. But the only portal for armies was the Gate of Gates, through the area between the Black and Caspian seas. This strait was mostly blocked by the Caucasus mountains; today, the remnants of fortifications can be found everywhere in the area; but at two points, the mountain barrier could be easily crossed.
Here, at the Caucasus, the Muslims ran smack into the empire of Khazaria. This nation, largely forgotten by history, seems to have been peopled by nomadic horsemen descended from the Huns, numerous enough and fierce enough to turn back the Muslims and retain their territory; at its height, the Khazar empire stretched from the rivers Volga to the Don and controlled the Caspian (then called the Khazar Sea) and the Caucasus mountains and large stretches of the northern coast of the Black Sea. In or about the time of the Islamic revolution, the people of Khazaria converted to Judaism. And until about 965 After Ascension (after which they vanish from historical accounts) the Jewish Khazars controlled the area around the Caucasus.
Commerce went on . . . but until Marco Polo’s time, no Christian merchants crossed Asia and left records for posterity. Not until the Mongols conquered and pacified the area in the thirteenth century do we have any accounts whatsoever of Christian travelers. The East seems to have just been too dangerous for exploration.
This is the second form of the legend:
Alexander the Great, while conquering the world, came eventually to the Caucasus Mountains where Prometheus the Titan had been chained long before. Here, the Macedonians discovered the evil hordes of Gog and Magog laying waste to the peaceable tribes around them. The country of these wicked raiders lay beyond two great mountains named Ubera Aquilonias, the Breasts of the North.
Alexander, calling upon the power of God, moved the mountains together and forged gates of iron and brass to seal the narrow way. These Caspian Gates were further strengthened with a magic metal called asiceton, which was proof against fire and steel; steel shattered upon asiceton, and whatever fires which touched it were instantaneously quenched.
And further, Alexander built a mighty wall spanning the entire Caucasus range, closing off the civilized south from the forces of darkness. This wall became known as the Caucasus Wall. But at the end of time, the gates will open and the wall break down, and Gog and Magog will burst forth to destroy the world.
The Old Testament, of course, came before Alexander the Great. After Alexander’s death, though, he was mythologized and became a sort of hero in every part of the world where Macedonian armies had marched. In Asia and parts of India, Alexander myths are still told, more than two thousand years after his time. As late as the turn of the century, everyone who was anyone in Afghanistan claimed descent from Iskender; in the Uzbekistan SSR (which used to be Sogdiana, birthplace of Roxelana) he is considered an Islamic saint; legends attached to other heroes were detached and retold with his name; and so on, and so on.
For instance: in the epic of Gilgamesh, circa 2000 BC or earlier, one part of the tale recounts Gilgamesh’s dive under the sea in search of the rose of immortality, which he brought to the surface but was cheated of by the serpent; the very same story is told of Alexander to this very day, apparently, and the first version of it I read was an Alexander myth.
Now, the city of Alexandria-the-furthest is situated in Uzbekistan — not far from present-day Khojend, a city which may be found in any atlas. The site is in old Sogdiana, under the eaves of the Alai and Pamir mountain ranges, on an important trade route and at the mouth of the oasis valley of Fergana. And it is the furthermost spot reached by the armies of Alexander. But by the time Alexander founded Alexander-the-furthest (which, incidentally, has been excavated by archeologists) he and his Macedonians had marched up hill and down hill, through mountain ranges galore, across deserts and gorges and parts of Persia unmapped by man . . .
And they were completely lost.
Several mountain ranges back, the natives had told them of a giant eagle legendary in those parts . . . and since all Greeks and Macedonians knew that Prometheus was chained somewhere in the Caucasus mountains, with a giant eagle gnawing at his liver, they leaped to the conclusion that they had crossed the Caucasus. So by their own judgement, they were several hundred miles northwest of their actual location, north of the Black Sea and near the legendary river Tanais. The Tanais was the Don river, which runs southward into the Black Sea, but they had found the Syr Darya which runs westward into the Caspian, and they were convinced it was the Tanais.
Incidentally, the reason historians guess the Macedonians went wrong after hearing eagle stories from their native guides, is that when western explorers reached the Pamir and Hindu Kush mountains, the same “giant-eagle” legend was still being told there.
But this is aside from the main point. And the main point is, the city of Derbent in the Caucasus mountains has laid claim for centuries to being the “real” Alexandria-the-furthest.
Hence, Alexander’s Wall was obviously in the Caucasus.
And if Alexander penned up the hordes of Gog and Magog behind a wall and a gate, that wall and that gate would have to be in the Caucasus . . .
From the Syrian “Christian Legend concerning Alexander” (circa about 500 AD?):
(144) An exploit by Alexander, the son of Philip the Macedonian, showing how he went forth to the ends of the world, and made a gate of iron, and shut it in the face of the north wind, that the Hunaye might not come forth to spoil the countries: from the manuscripts in the house of the archives of the kings of Alexandria.
(148 ) And Alexander looked towards the West, and he found a mountain that descends, and its name was ‘the great Musas’ (probably Mount Ararat in Turkey, which was called Musas and which Gilgamesh supposed climbed; several Gilgamesh legends became Alexander legends, just as the Moses myth of the baby set adrift in a basket to escape a massacre of children became a King-Arthur-and-Mordred myth); and the troops descended it and came out upon Mount Klaudia, and ate bread there.
(149) Then they went down to the source of the Euphrates, and they found that it came forth from a cave; and they came to Haluras, where the Tigris goes forth like the stream that turns a mill, and they ate bread in Haluras. And they departed from thence and went to the river Kallath; and they descended the mountain, which is called Ramath, where there is a watch-tower. And Alexander and his troops stood upon the top of the mountain and saw the four quarters of the heavens. And Alexander said, ‘Let us go forth by the way to the north’; and they came to the confines of the north, and entered Armenia and Adarbaijan and Inner Armenia . . .
And Alexander passed through all these places; and he went and passed mount Musas and entered a plain, which is Bahi-Lebta, and he went and encamped by the gate of a great mountain. Now there was a road across it by which great merchants entered the inner countries, and by it did Alexander encamp. (He sends heralds out, requesting that three hundred men advanced in years come to meet him. These men tell him that the land belongs to Tubarlak, king of Persia.)
(150) Alexander said to them, “How far does the mountain descend in that direction?’ They answered him, ‘This mountain extends without a break, passing by the sea of Beth-Katraye, and goes on and comes to an end in outer Persia near India . . .’
Alexander said, ‘This mountain is higher and more terrible than all the mountains which I have seen.’ The old men, natives of the country, said to the king, ‘Yea, by your majesty, my lord the king, neither we nor our
fathers have been able to march one step upon it, and men do not ascend it either on that side or on this, for it is the boundary which God has sent between us and the nations within it.’
Alexander said, ‘Who are the nations within this mountain upon which we are looking? . . .’ The natives of the country said, ‘They are Huns.’ He said to them, ‘Who are their kings?’ The old men said, ‘Gog and Magog and Nawal the kings of the sons of Japhet . . .’

(153) When Alexander had heard what the old men said, he marvelled greatly at the great sea, which surrounded all creation; and Alexander said to his troops, ‘Do you desire that we should do something wonderful in this land?’ They said to him, ‘As thy majesty commands we will do.’ The king said, ‘Let us make a gate of brass and close up this breach.’ His troops said, ‘As thy majesty commands we will do.’ And Alexander commanded and fetched three thousand smiths, workers in iron, and three thousand men, workers in brass. And they put down brass and iron, and kneaded it as a man kneads when he works clay. Then they brought it and made a gate, the length of which was twelve cubits and its breadth eight cubits. And they made a lower threshold from mountain to mountain, the length of which was twelve cubits; and they hammered it into the rocks of the mountains, and it was fixed in with brass and iron . . .
(154) And king Alexander fetched (an engraver) and inscribed upon the gate: ‘The Huns shall go forth and conquer the countries of the Romans and of the Persians, and shall cast arrows . . . and shall return and enter their own land. Also I have written that, at the conclusion of eight hundred and twenty-six years, the Huns shall go forth by the narrow way which goes forth opposite Haloras, whence the Tigris goes forth like the stream which turns a mill, and they shall make the earth tremble by their going forth.
(Details are given of the fall of the gate, which shall herald the end of the world).
(155) And when the Huns have gone forth, as God has commanded, the kingdoms of the Huns and the Persians and the Arabs, the twenty-four kingdoms that are written in this book, shall come from the ends of the heavens and fall upon one another, and the earth shall melt through the blood and dung of men.
In various other Alexander romances concurrent with this one, the details of the story are embroidered. Alexander is spoken of as a Christian king, a champion of Christendom and also of Judaism – that is, he is a champion of monotheism, of the worship of One True God. He comes to the uttermost north, and there finds the mountains named ubera aquilonis, the Breasts of the North; here he commands the mountains to move, and they move and approach each other miraculously. Then he builds the wall, which bars Gog and Magog from civilized lands. The gate in Alexander’s Wall is made of brass and iron, over which was poured the mysterious metal called asiceton. Or “Alexander made a gate of iron and shut it in the face of the north wind.” In one version, Alexander also plants a bramble that flourishes so, it overtops the mountains and forms an impenetrable barrier – shades of Sleeping Beauty!
The mountains named ubera aquilonis, the Breasts of the North, sound like Mount Elburz in the Caucasus: a tall double peak, which looms over the range (according to the accounts of travelers) rather like Mts. Rainer or Hood in Washington. One expert on ancient mythology links the double peaks of Mount Elburz to dioscuri legends, tales of twin heroes which crop up all across Europe: Romulus and Remus, Castor and Pollux, the Thracian ‘Twin Riders’, etc etc etc . . .
As for the magical metal, asiceton, it sounds like adamant.
After the Syrian Christian Legend, various other apocalyptic versions pop up all over, in many languages, and in manuscripts with the most romantic names: Pseudo-Callisthenes’ Historia Alexandri Magni; the Revelations of Pseudo-Methodius; the Syrian Homily by Jacob of Sarug (whose monsters are Agog and Magog); a lost Arabic romance called the History of Dulcarnain; the Sermo de Fine Extremo; an Ethiopian romance, the History of Alexander; the Book of the Bee by Stephanno Orbelian; and something called the Histoire de la
Siounie. And the Cosmography of Aethicus Ister, and the Travels of John de Mandeville, and Marco Polo, and so on, and so on . . .
Pseudo-Callisthenes writes of the unclean peoples shut up beyond the gate:
“For they ate things polluted and base, dogs, mice, serpents, the flesh of corpses, yea unborn embryos as well as their own dead.”
This particular detail of the legends could stem from the accounts of Alexander and the Macedonians running up against the Bactrian custom of exposing corpses and also flinging old people to the dogs, plus ceremonially eating the flesh of the dead; the Macedonians were revolted, and put a stop to it.
The third version of the legend is Islamic
It appears in this Koran passage, concerning the deeds of Dhucarnain, the protector of all Muslims:
“Then he continued his way until he came to the place where the sun riseth; and he found it to rise on certain people unto whom we had not given anything wherewith to shelter themselves therefrom. Thus it was; and we comprehended with our knowledge the forces that were with him.
And he prosecuted his journey from south to north, until he came between the two mountains, beneath which he found certain people, who could scarce understand what was said.
And they said: O Dhu’lkarnein, verily Gog and Magog waste the land; shall we therefore pay thee tribute, on condition that thou build a rampart between us and them?
The power wherewith my Lord had strengthened me is better than your tribute; but assist me strenuously, and I will set a strong wall between you and them. Bring me iron in large pieces, until it fill up the space between the two sides of these mountains.
And he said to the workmen, blow with your bellows, until it make the iron red hot as fire. And he said further, bring me molten brass, that I may pour upon it.
Wherefore, when this wall was finished, Gog and Magog could not scale it, neither could they dig through it.
And Dhu’lkarnein said, this is a mercy from my Lord: but when the prediction of my Lord shall come to be fulfilled, he shall reduce the wall to dust; and the prediction of my Lord is true.” — Koran, xviii
And this version:
“Ours the realm of Dhu’l-Qarnayn the glorious,
Realm like his was never won by mortal king,
Followed he the Sun to view his setting
When it sank into the sombre ocean-spring;
Up he clomb to see it rise at morning
From within the mansions when the east it fired;
All day long the horizons led him onward,
All night through he watched the stars and never tired.
Then of iron and of liquid metal
He prepared a rampart not to be o’er-passed.
Gog and Magog here he threw in prison
Till on Judgement Day they wake at last.”

The transposition of the Alexander romances into the Koran is supposed to stem from a title given to Alexander: he was known as Alexander Two-horned, that is Alexander Dulkarnain. In one of the romances –the “Greek Romance of Alexander”, of Pseudo-Callisthenes — Alexander was refered to as the son of the god Ammon, who had the head of a ram. Alexander is also represented on old coins with ram’s horns adorning his forehead.
Moses was also called Two-horned (and this is why Michelangelo’s statue of Moses sports two horns like the Devil) but this was a confusion with words; he was spoken of as having a ray of light upon his forehead, but the Arabic term ‘rayed’ koren also translates as ‘horned’. However Alexander Dulkarnain and Moses Dulkarnain both eventually become confused with the angel Dulkarnain, protector of Islam. (Hence, many Muslims revere Alexander as a Muslim saint.)
From Pseudo-Methodius, the Revelations, ‘Letter of Alexander to Olympias’
“… And I found there also many peoples that ate the flesh of human beings and drank the blood of animals (and beasts) like water; for their dead they buried not, but ate. And when I beheld such utterly wicked nations and feared that through such a diet they might pollute the earth … I besought the Power above and proceeded with force against them, and most of them I put to the sword, and their land I reduced to subjection …
Two-and-twenty were the kings over them, and I pressed pursuit of them with force until they fortified themselves in two great mountains called the Breasts of the North, which have no other exit or entrance than between those two great mountains, towering in height as they do above the clouds of heaven, and extending like two walls on the right and on the left as far as the Great Sea beneath the Ansos (i.e. the Arctos, or the Bear Star – as far as the Arctic Ocean?) and the land of darkness.
And I thought of all manner of contrivances to prevent them from issuing forth from the great mountains into which they had been driven. Now the entrance between the great mountains measures six-and-forty royal cubits. Again therefore I importuned Providence above and my prayer was heard. For He commanded the two mountains and they rocked and walked about in rivalry with each other a distance of twelve cubits.
And there I constructed gates of brass … and the same gates I overspread with asokiton that neither fire nor steel nor any device whatsoever might be able to unbronze the gates; for fire when brought near it goes out, and steel crumbles.
And outside of these most terrible gates I set up another structure of stones each having the width of eleven cubits, the height of twenty cubits, and the length of sixty cubits . . . that nothing might avail to master such gates, which I called the Caspian Gates.
Two-and-twenty kings I shut in there. And the names of the nations are Magog, Kynekephaloi, Nounoi
. . . .”
And here is a possible source for the idea of the Ubera Aquilonis, the moving mountains named ‘The Breasts of the North’:
“The valley of Arnon had a defile formed by two mountain ranges running parallel, whereof the one side had a concavity above, opposite to which on the other side breasts projected. A part of the enemies of Israel posted themselves to the pass to bar the way of the Israelites, while the other part concealed itself in the hollows above in order to throw down therefrom stones and arrows upon them. But God had brought this plan to ruin inasmuch as He caused the breasts of the one mountain range to
clash into the concavities of the mountain range opposite, so that the enemy concealed therein were crushed to death.” — Midrasch Rabbah.
Some centuries after the Alexander romances began to circulate, a further development enters this already confusing labyrinth of details: the ten lost tribes of Israel are dragged into the story. Now, there are reasons for this.
1. According to history, the lost tribes were deported beyond the Euphrates, into Media: that is, the region south of the Elburz range of the Caucasus mountains, near the Caspian Sea; during a further deportation about 350 BC, Artaxerxes Ochus found that Jews from the remaining tribes in Israel had joined the Phoenicians in revolt against Persian rule, and accordingly sent some of them to settle on the southern shores of the Caspian Sea.
2. Because Alexander’s army thought they had traveled as far as the Caucasus mountains, it was the Caucasus mountains which were spoken of as the site of the Caspian Gate. Besides, half the mountain passes in Persia have traditionally been called the Gate of this, the Gate of that; there’s an Iron Gate in Afghanistan and another in the Caucasus (this is Derbent, the city called the Iron Gate), a Caspian Gate, and in the Caucasus itself, the Dariel pass is ‘the Gate of Gates.’
Incidentally there is also an Iron Gate in Bulgaria, not to mention a Gate of Trajan. While busy conquering all Persia, Alexander supposedly chased a fleeing King Darius up through a pass called the Caspian Gate . . . which may be a mountain pass just south of the Caspian Sea; no one now alive knows just where it was. Afterward, the writers of various Alexander romances (none of whom had anything but the vaguest idea of the geography involved) spoke of the Caspian Gate as the Gate of Gates, and then of both as Alexander’s Gate.
So, the lost tribes went to the region of the Caspian Sea, and here was Alexander’s Gate in the same area; what could be more natural, than to suggest that the lost tribes were shut up behind Alexander’s Gate?
3. And besides, there was a kingdom of the Jews north of the Caucasus mountains. It was the kingdom of Khazaria, nomadic people descended from the Huns. Not much is known about the Khazars, but it is known that the kingdom embraced Judaism around the seventh century AD. They were fierce fighters, feared by their neighbors. Contemporary historians, naturally, wrote of them as the race of Gog and Magog.
Hence, the following version, which comes from The Apocalypse of Ezra, something called the Oracula Sibyllina, and the Compendium Theologicae Veritatis of Albertus Magnus: the ten Lost Tribes dwell in a faraway land, but the Messiah will come, and He is the Christ; the Lost Tribes will recognize Him when He comes, and He will lead them out of their prison that they may defeat the Antichrist’s hosts, Gog and Magog.
For an example of this version, take this one (by someone called Commodianus): the Messiah is Christ, and it is foretold that the Ten Tribes under His leadership will return from their exile, conquer the Antichrist (who, according to Commodianus, is Nero of Rome) and free Jerusalem.
And the opposite version, which holds that the Lost Tribes are the Antichrist’s hosts, Gog and Magog; come the apocalypse they will burst forth from their prison, and sweep down to destroy Christendom.
John de Mandeville, who wrote a really wonderful collection of travel fantasies (his work dates to sometime before the Renaissance) has his particular take on this story. In his account, the evil Jews are penned underneath the Caucasus mountains, buried alive. They might have escaped across the Caspian Sea, but that sea is held by the kingdom of the Amazons and the Jews dare not take ship upon it; indeed, the Jews pay tribute to the Amazons. They have no means of breaking through the Wall, which imprisons them. But when they are set free, they mean to become the scourge of Christendom . . . and indeed, they will escape. For someday a fox will burrow a hole through the Wall, and the Jews will see it, wondering, and follow it back to the hole. Then they will know how to dig their way out.
Other flourishes were added to the legend. One was the little detail about the wall of brambles so well-watered that it overtopped the mountains. Another (from one Rabbi Joseph Kimchi) related that Alexander’s servants, with fiendish cleverness, built not merely the wall but also men of iron, who rang hammers and axes constantly against the barrier — so that the people inclosed within would be dissuaded from escaping.
An Arabic writer, Omara, tells of the stone eagle mounted upon the wall, which whenever Gog and Magog approached, uttered a scream that could be heard everywhere within eight days’ travel; then all those who heard the warning sent up a prayer to God, and the demons were turned aside.
Another version speaks of two trumpets, which resounded with the wind, giving the inclosed nations to believe that great armies guarded the wall. (Alexander’s Trumpets appear on a number of early maps.) Eventually, the story continues, owls nesting in the trumpets choked them with twigs and silenced them, and the Tartars came forth to conquer India. Thus, to this day, the chiefs of the Tartars wear owl-feathers in their caps, to commemorate their escape.
One Jacob Reineggs, during the late eighteenth century, discovered in the central Caucasus a people called Thiulet, who lived amidst mountains called Ghef or Gogh; the very highest of these mountains, lying to the north of their country, they knew by the name of Moghef or Mugogh. Did these names stem from the original Gog-and-Magog legends, or did the legends stem from the ancestors of these people?
. . . And by devious ways, Gog and Magog became the names of two papier-mache giants owned by the London Guildhall in England, which were for years marched in the city’s yearly parade. The original names of these giants seem to have been Corineus and Geomagot …. Here is a quote from a Middle-English metrical version of the Revelations of Methodius:
“For than xall gogmangog nere cum For then shall Gogmagog here cum
Owte of the mownts of calpye. Out of the mountains of Calpye.
That god closyd all & sum. That God closed all and sum.
At Alexandyrs prayere suyrly. At Alexander’s prayer surely.
They xall dystroy all crystendome. They shall destroy all Christendom.
They xall cum owt so hydowysly. They shall come out so hideously.
Men all most wax defe & dum. Men all must wax deaf and dumb.
So xall they drede here felony.” So shall they dread here felony.
And as for the original Geomagot and Corineus…
“The story of “Gogmagog’s Leap”, traditionally located at Plymouth Hoe, is first told by Geoffrey of Monmouth in about 1136. Geoffrey says that Brutus, the great-grandson of the hero Aeneas, came to Albion with his men, and because of its fruitfulness decided to settle here. He renamed the island Britain (supposed by Geoffrey to derive from ‘Brutus’) and drove the giants who inhabited it into the mountains of the west.
One day when he and his followers were holding a festival at the port where they first landed, a party of giants attacked them. They fought back and killed all the giants except for one named Gogmagog who was twelve cubits high and could wield an uprooted oak as easily as a hazel wand. Him they kept alive to wrestle with Corineus, Duke of Cornwall, who, when Brutus was parcelling out the land of Britain amongst his followers, had chosen for his share the rocky land that came to be named after him, because he loved nothing so much as to wrestle with giants, and there were more of them in Cornwall than elsewhere.
When the two opponents came to grips, Gogmagog hugged the duke to him in so tight an embrace that three of his ribs were broken. Corineus was so enraged that he at once rushed to the nearest stretch of shore and hurled Gogmagog off the cliff to his death on the rocks below. The place at which this happened was thereafter known as Gogmagog’s Leap.” (Apparently there was a chalk figure of a giant cut into Plymouth Hoe at one time, which might commemorate the legend or have given rise to it).
“As for Gogmagog, two princes called Gog and Magog appear in the Bible, and there has been much argument as to whether English tradition at first contained two giants descended directly from them; or one giant called by their names rolled together; or a giant who originaly had nothing to do with them at all. Geoffrey actually spells his giant’s name Goemagot; the poet Layamon, writing about a hundred and fifty years later, calls him Goemagog, and it may be that an originally independent name has gradually been corrupted to Gogmagog because of the influence of the Bible.
So who was Goemagot? We don’t know. If Geoffrey got the name wrong, and it did originally have an -og- in it, he might have been the Gaulish/Irish culture god Ogmios, identified by the Celts with Hercules and often depicted with a club.”

There were also further Islamic versions of the legend.
The Muslim Chronicle of Tabari relates that Schahrbaraz, prince of Armenia, sent a man to seek the site of Dulcarnain’s Gate; years passed, and then a ragged traveler returned . . . but the prince did not know him until he exhibited a magnificent ruby and named himself as the explorer long thought lost. He had found the Gate, and the ruby was the proof of it; the jewel had been brought to him by an eagle, which dove for it in the moat below the wall.
And another tale tells of the journey of Sallam the Interpreter, 842-844 AA, who set forth to find the Gate. Sallam crossed the Caucasus, probably through the pass of Dariel, and traveled along the northern shores of the Caspian Sea. Here he found towns in ruins, and was told they had been laid waste by the peoples of Gog and Magog.
Further on, he reached a village named Yka in which Dhou’l-Karnain had once encamped with his army. Three days beyond Yka lay a wall with an iron gate, which Sallam knew for Dulcarnain’s Gate because of the writing upon it. The key to the gate was a cubit and a half long, hanging from a chain eight cubits in length.
And for a latter-day Gog-and-Magog story, try this one, from the Russian Primary Chronicle:
“I wish at this point to recount a story which I heard four years ago, and which was told me by Gyurata Rogovich of Novgorod: ‘I sent my servant,’ said he, ‘to the Pechera, a people who pay tribute to Novgorod. When he arrived among them, he went on among the Yugra. The latter are an alien people dwelling to the north with the Samoyedes.
The Yugra said to my servant, “We have encountered a strange marvel, with which we had not until recently been acquainted. This occurrence took place three years ago. There are certain mountains, which slope down to an arm of the sea, and their height reaches to the heavens. Within these mountains are heard great cries and the sound of voices; those within are cutting their way out.
In that mountain, a small opening has been pierced, through which they converse, but their language is unintelligible. They point, however, at iron objects, and make gestures as if to ask for iron. If given a knife or an axe, they supply furs in return. The road to these mountains is impassable with precipices, snow, and forests. Hence we do not always reach them, and they are also far to the north.”
“Then I said to Gyurata, ‘These are the peoples shut up by Alexander of Macedon. As Methodius of Patara says of them:
‘”He penetrated the eastern countries as far as the sea called the Land of the Sun, and he saw there unclean peoples of the race of Japeth. When he beheld their uncleanness, he marveled. They ate every nauseous thing, such as gnats, flies, cats, and serpents. They did not bury their dead, but ate them along with the fruit of abortions and all sorts of impure beasts. On
beholding this, Alexander was afraid lest, as they multiplied they might corrupt the earth. So he drove them to high regions in the regions of the north, and by God’s commandment, the mountains enclosed them and were covered with indestructible metal. They cannot be destroyed by fire; for it is the nature of this metal that fire cannot consume it, nor can iron take hold of it. Hereafter, at the end of the world, eight peoples shall come forth from the desert of Yathrib, and these corrupt nations, which dwell in the northern mountains, shall also issue forth at God’s command.”‘”

“I just read … or rather, scanned … your most informative article, and would like to share with you a bit of data from Afghanistan. I was there 11+ years (1967 – 1978 ) and was fluent in Dari. One of my areas of interest was folk Islam and I repeatedly heard the story of Juz and Majuz, a tribe of creatures who lived behind a mountain … had huge ears, one of which they used as a mat to sleep on, and the other as a blanket … made some daily progress in digging through the mountain, which God undid when they went to sleep at night. If and when they succeed Roz-e-Qeyamat , which I at the time interpreted as Judgement Day. The Arabic word Qeyama does have that meaning and is used in that sense. Its basic meaning is upheaval, revolution, tumult and could be consistent with the concept of Armageddon.”

May Peace Be Upon Everbody

It is an excetional topic covering ample amount of information regarding 2012. I suspect that the crisis that we are in now is just the beginning of the new era. Only the Almighty Allah can protect and save us. The best way forward is by relying on the tangible things such as gold and silver rather than Paper Money and Bank accounts or investments in the stock market. With Federal Reserve Bank of US, privately owned by new cons Zionists, a domino affect causing world wide ciaos and sufferings seems inevitable.
May Almighty Allah guide and protect us and strengthen us Physically and Spiritually to stand up to the times requirement.

One narration in Nu’aym ibn Hammad’s Kitab al-Fitan says: “When you see it, then store up one year’s supply of food.”

- “During his reign, on the 14th of the Ramadan, solar eclipse will occur. On the 1st of that month, moon will darken…” — (Imam Rabbani, Letters of Rabbani, 380; Letters of Rabbani, 2-1163)

- “There will be two solar eclipses in Ramadan before the Mahdi’s advent.” — (Mukhtasar Tazkirah Qurtubi, p. 440)

Let me explain something about eclipses. When an eclipse occurs at the beginning of the lunar month, it will always be a solar eclipse, i.e. the moon will come between the earth and the sun, thus appearing to block out the sun. When the eclipse occurs in the middle of the month, it will always be a lunar eclipse, i.e. the earth will be between the sun and the full moon, thus the moon will apparently disappear wholly or partially. So understand that the normal procedure is: Beginning of the month = solar eclipse; middle of the month = lunar eclipse. HOWEVER the athar mentioning the double eclipse in Ramadhan does not mention this. Read it carefully:

Ad-Daraqutni narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Ali ibn al-Hanafiyyah that he said: “For our Mahdi there will be two signs that have never occurred since the creation of the heavens and the earth: The moon will be eclipsed on the first night of Ramadhan, and the sun halfway through it. This has never before occurred since Allah created the heavens and the earth.”

Firstly, he said that this sign has NEVER OCCURRED since Allah created the heavens and the earth.

Secondly, he said that the eclipse at the beginning of the month will be a lunar eclipse, and the one in the middle a solar eclipse, i.e. IN THE REVERSE ORDER FROM THE MORMAL PROCEDURE. Scientifically, this is impossible under normal circumstances, and could only occur due to an exceptionally extra-ordinary event, such as if another heavenly body were to wander close enough to the earth to come in between the earth and the moon. (or due to the pole shift)

Al Mahdi’s Lineage, Physical Appearance and Characteristics:

- Prophet Muhammad, praise and peace be upon him, said: “Al Mahdi is (descended) from me. His forehead will be radiant, and his nose prominent. He will fill the earth with both fairness and justice just as it will have been filled by oppression and injustice, and he will govern for seven years.”

- “At the end of Time, a stern trial from their governor will come upon my nation – never before will they have heard of a trial such as it. The wide earth will shrink before them and the earth will become full of oppression and injustice so that believers find no refuge from harm. So, Allah, the Mighty, the Purified will send a man from my pure musked descendants who will fill the earth with fairness and justice, just as it was filled by oppression and injustice. The inhabitants of Heaven and Earth will be pleased with him. The earth will not withhold any of its seed — all will be produced. Nor will the Heaven withhold any of its showers except that Allah pours it upon them in abundance. And he will live among them seven, eight or nine years; the dead will wish for life because of that! Allah, the Mighty, the Glorified will give the inhabitants of the earth from His Goodness.”

- “I bear good tidings for you concerning Al Mahdi. He will be sent when people differ and the earth quakes!”

(The preceding narrations were reported by Abi Said Al Khudri in the reference of Abi Dawood, Al Hakim, At-Tirmizi, Ahmad, ibn Hibban, Muslim, Al Tabarani (in his middle dictionary), Al Barudi and Abu Nuaym in his forty Hadith concerning Al Mahdi.)

The Certainty of his Appearance

- “Even if there remained only one day left to be lived, Allah will prolong that day until He sends a man from me. His name is like my name, and his father’s name is like my father’s name. He will fill the earth with fairness and justice just as it was filled by oppression and injustice.”

- “The days will not end and life will not vanish until the Arabs are governed by a man from the Family of my House — his name is the same as mine.”

- Ibn Masood reported: “We went to the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, and he came out with good news and happiness was easily recognizable upon his face… until a party from the Bani Hashim passed by amongst whom were Al Hasan and Al Hussain, peace be upon them. When he saw them he hugged them with tears in his eyes, so we asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah’ we see something has changed your face which distresses us.’ Thereupon he replied: ‘We are a Family of a House for whom Allah has chosen the Hereafter rather than the present. After me, my family will be refugees, driven out of countries until the Black Banners are raised in the east.

They will ask for the truth but they will not be given it, so they will ask again for it, and they will not be given it, so they will fight and be given victory. Those of you or your descendants who live during that time go to the Imam of the Family of my house even if you have to crawl over ice to him. Indeed, they are banners of guidance. They will deliver it to a man from the Family of my House his name is the same as my name, and the name of his father is the same as my father, and he will fill the ground with fairness and justice.”

(This hadith is in found in the references of Abu Dawood, Al Hakim, At-Tirmizi, Ibn Hibban, Ibn Majhah, Au Ash-Shaykh, Ibn Adiy, Abu Dhabi, Ibn Asakir and Abu Nuaym.)

When and Where Al Mahdi is given Allegiance (Bayat)

- “Differences will occur after the death of a caliph and a man from the people of Medina will escape to Mecca. Then, some of the people of Mecca will come to him and drag him out against his desire and give him their allegiance between Ar-Rukn and Al Makam. An army will be sent against him from Syria that will be swallowed up in Al Bayda – desert between Mecca and Medina. When people see this, the Abdal of Syria will come to him as well as a group of people from Iraq and pledge their allegiance between Ar-Rukn and Al Makam. Then a man from the Koraysh will come whose cousins are from Kalb, and he will send an army to them that will overcome them and this will become known as the Battle of Kalb.

Whosoever does not witness the spoils of war from Kalb is lost! And he (Al Mahdi) will distribute wealth and practice the Sunnah of their Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, with the people. And Islam will spread throughout the earth. He will remain seven years then die, and the believers will pray for him.”

(This hadith was reported by Lady Ummu Salamah, wife of the Prophet, Mother of the Believers, may Allah be pleased with her, and is found in the references of Abu Dawood, Ibn Majah, Al Hakim, Ibn Hibban and At-Tabarani.)

The Black Banners

- If you see the Black Banners coming from Khurasan go to them immediately, even if you must crawl over ice, because indeed amongst them is the Caliph, Al Mahdi.”

- “The Black Banners will come to you from the East, their hearts are like iron. Whosoever hears about them let them go crawling — even over ice!”

(The preceding Hadith was reported by Thawban and is found in the references of Ibn Majah, Al Busiri, Al Hakim, Ahmad, Nuaym, Ad- Daylami, Al Hasan, son of Sufyan, and Abu Nuaym. )
- “A man named As-Sufyani will come from the center of Damascus. The majority of his followers will be from the tribe of Kalb. He will kill until he rips women open and kills children. So the tribe of Kays will rise up in retaliation and he will slaughter all of them! Then a man from the Family of my House will come in Al Hirrah and the news will reach As-Sufyani. Then he will send his army but it will suffer defeat. As-Sufyani will march with his followers to him until they reach a desert and the ground will swallow them up. None will be saved except the one bearing the news.”

The Emergence of the False Messiah

- “The Romans will surround a leader from my pure musked children. His name will be the same as mine. They will fight each other at a place called Al Imak and one third, or thereabouts, of the Muslims will be killed. I used to read Syed Jamaluddin and his blog but believe me he is nothing but Bull Shit! It is very clear that he and other people like him who are being paid by India and Israel to run separatist movements in Pakistan, are creating unrest in Baluchistan.
Tell me one thing… these so called leaders who want “freedom” for “their people” keeping the people of Baluchistan illiterate, teaching them extremism, training and arming them with weapons… there are no schools, no medical facilities, no universities, no electricity, no roads/highways.. why?? because you don’t want your people to get enlighten and access the outside world.. keeping them in dark so their so called leaders can get their support by misguiding them!

Destabilized Baluchistan is in interest of India and Israel for their larger interest and people like Syed Jamaluddin are also being used and will be eliminated once their job is done. Read history!

I believe that Syed Jamaluddin´s books titled “DIVIDE PAKISTAN TO ELIMINATE TERRORISM” and “FORMATION OF REPUBLIC OF JINNAHPUR” are also part of certain predictions about the last days. Pakistan being a country involved directly or indirectly in promotion and nourishing of global terrorism, its disintegration may also pave way for further destruction in the world. In my opinion, if the World War III starts, it will start from Pakistani soil as any move to divide Pakistan will compel its military to use nuclear weapons against India or say against the world. Hence, prior to certain happenings, it has always been a privilege on the part of intellectuals to make predictions and I guess Syed Jamaluddin´s two books DIVIDE PAKISTAN TO ELIMINATE TERRORISM and FORMATION OF REPUBLIC OF JINNAHPUR are rather an indication of certain happenings in South Asia in the nearest future.

It is very important that we observe the current geo political with open mindedness rather stuck in the history with human imaginations. The truth is happening in front of our eyes.. history and prophesies are there only to take references and apply on current situations… not to freeze the imaginations in our minds.. Good article, thanks for initiating this important conversation.

2012 presents a strange and bizarre confluence of multiple beliefs, mythologies, traditions, predictions/prophecies, and even cosmologies. Never before has one period of time (or even one date — December 21, 2012) been the object of so much doom’s day speculation. It is rapidly becoming Y2K on steroids.

Its almost as if we have an obsession, or perhaps a twisted desire, to see the world come to an end in our generation, (incidentally, each generation since the dawn of man has thought that they would see the ‘end of times’ in their life; it must be hardwired into our DNA). I think fundamentally we all feel that the earth is changing, and that we, as a species, are off course. As Pogo said, “We have met the enemy and he is us.” Perhaps we want the world to fix itself, even if that means humans get ‘thinned’ in the process?

Regardless, 2012 does present some sobering, scientifically proven risks (aside from the fear-mongering scams), that we should take seriously. And, short of a catastrophic, species-ending event, this is a date that you can prepare for. I have spent years studying 2012, both the scholarship and the nonsense, and my conclusion is that you should take the date seriously if for no other reason than SO MANY people actually want it to happen. Its called ‘collective manifestation’ and it should worry you. I don’t think you should build a bomb shelter (after all, who can afford one in this economy?), but you should be prepared for a lengthy disruption in infrastructure. Think long term food and water supplies and you should be okay.

This is truly an astounding revelation… Israeli, ahem, I mean the ZIONIST media has itself forewarned of the war of “Gog & Magog” (Yajuj & Majuj) and “Koka & Vikoka” of the Hindu texts.

What has got me thinking is the concept of savage Manchurians and Mongols, Tartars being the descendants of Gog & Magog.

China seems like a most possible candidate. Russia too. Many inter-faith scholars have suggested that the Scandinavian people (descendants of Vikings especially red-haired Celts) are the people referred to as Gog & Magog. The Russians can also be deemed as such. And the Chinese, well, they practically are similar to the savage Mongols except that they have advanced much now. Nevertheless, as a staunch follower of Islam, we believe that in brief chronological terms, The Dajjal’s advent will occur first, then the arrival of Mahdi, next the descent of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) and THEN the war of Gog & Magog will take place.

I visited respected Dr. Israr Ahmed a few days ago, he made a hint that possibly in the coming year of turmoil, China too like Russia will remain silent and in the backdrop during all global chaos and soon both of them might make their moves as “Gog & Magog” (Wallahu A’alam) Allah Knows Best!

I found, praiseto Allah alone, a hidden message in the Quran that is related directly to the year 2012 or precisply 1433 Hijri.

The message, indeed the whole Quran, is encoded with a key that lays bare in front of us all the time in the first chapter of the Quran appropriately named The Oppener or The Key.

This chapter has 7 verses, 29 words, and 139 letters. Not only these are prime numbers showing extra-terrestrial intelligence source but their digit sums (7=7, 2+9=11 and 1+3+9=13) are primes too, and the grand total of these sums (7+11+13 = 31) is yet another prime! AND their concatinations right-to-left and left-to-right 139297 and 729139 are primes too! SIMPLY AMAZING !!! Subhan Allah.

I decided to count how many “Fa be ay aalaai Rabbikuma tukathibaan?” in chapter 55 (THE MERCIFUL) and found 31 repetitions of that exact verse that come after every time Allah reminds us of a certain bounty He is bestowing upon both worlds of humans and genies and asking:

“What other bounties of your Sustainer, do you still not believe?”

Not only this verse is repeated 31 times (the grand total above) but the sum of its verse numbers is:
13+16+18+21+23+25+28+30+32+34+36+38+40+42+45+47+49+51+53+55+57+59+61+63+65+67+69+71+73+75+77 = 1433

A PRIME too.

But what was MORE INTERESTING however, is the fact that the current year according to the Hijri Calendar is 1429.

CAN YOU SEE WHAT I SEE? We are less than 4 years away from a great if not the greatest bounty God may be preparing for humanity and genie worlds in 1433H = 2012 AD.

I can only speculate that it might be the Re-appearance of Imam Mehdi and the Second Coming Prophet Jesus (peace be upon them both).

At this time many people are seemingly pre-occupied with the ‘end times’. You have specifically mentioned Armageddon and the hadith you have quoted refers to the conquest of Constantinople as the outbreak of this Great War.

If we just step back a little and look at the overall picture, we find, Constantinople has been conquered by the Muslims. When Constantinople was first besieged by Muslims, this led the Pope to call for the First Crusade against Jerusalem. After Jerusalem fell to the Muslims, did the Crusades stop?

If we remember George Bush’s remark, he referred to the war with Iraq as a ‘crusade’. His father, before him, similarly referred to the Gulf War. At the time of the Gulf War, the British Computer Society’s magazine “Computing” carried an advertisement saying: “The Torah goes to the Gulf”! The Torah had been printed by computer in a pocket book format which enabled the Jews to carry it a breast pocket. Are these battles then, all part of the Great War? Only Allah knows.

However, it is not wise, in my humble opinion, to consider one hadith in isolation. There are major and minor ’signs’ that the Day of Judgment is coming. The ‘Jibril’ hadith mentions:

“When the slave-girl gives birth to her mistress and when desert Arabs compete with one another in building high rise buildings.”

We are certainly seeing the second part of this today with the ‘towers’ in Malaysia, in Dubai and also in Riyadh. However, where is “the ruined state of Yathrib”? Some people may be inclined to say that the building and development of Madinah has ’spoilt’ Madinah and ruined its spiritual state at the expense of its materialistic development. However, we should not speculate on what we don’t know.

If we consider the hadiths with all the information we have on the signs pointing to the ‘end times’ we would find that we have more than a hundred signs to consider. Let us just consider one saying of the prophet (peace be upon him) where he refers to Constantinople and Rome falling to the Muslims. Constantinople fell some 800 years after the prophet (pbuh) predicted it, but Rome has hardly fallen to the Muslims. I am aware there is an Islamic Centre in Rome but this is hardly the same as the city coming under the Muslims.

Another hadith mentions the beast coming out of Mount Safa and speaking. Then, there is the question some people have as to whether the Dajjal is a person or not? Based on the hadith where a believer will be cut in two and the Dajjal will walk between the two halves of the body, then the Dajjal will bring the two halves together by the permission of Allah, and the believer will be restored to life by the permission of Allah, it is difficult for me to see the Dajjal as any other than a person. I do not subscribe to the view of the ‘materialistic eye’ as being the one-eyed Dajjal.

Now, let us turn our attention to “Saudi Arabia being corrupted” which you say is taking place currently. First, whatever the corruption that is referred to in the hadith you quote, there is no doubt that the oil wealth has benefited some more than others. It is also obvious that the US has enormous influence in Saudi Arabia and that the rulers are ‘protected’ by the US. One example, of a ruler who went against the US was the late King Faisal shahid. While we may say corruption is something that happens to any developing or third world country, the hadith does specifically mention Saudi Arabia as being on the time-line for the end times.

When the late King Faisal imposed the embargo on oil in 1973 the US wanted to settle US oil men and their families in Saudi Arabian oil towns. The then US ambassador to Saudi Arabia was against this and was summoned back to the US to present his case before the Senate. He then came back to Saudi Arabia for a year before being removed. Incidentally, the US military conducted maneuvers in the desert in the US in 1974. We can only wonder if this was advanced planning for the Gulf War.

Another sign of the end times is when Makkah comes under attack. Already, we have seen in print and heard some people calling for an air strike on Makkah. Even if it doesn’t take place, the fact it has been mentioned, brings the possibility of an attack that is much closer.

But, you know, we can speculate a lot on what might happen, but I would respectfully ask: “Is this what Muslims should really be doing?”

Ya akhi (my brother), looking at the events unfolding around us we feel the end times are coming close, the scholars have said the minor signs have all taken place, and next will come the major signs. We don’t know how much time we have left in this world. Shouldn’t we be pre-occupied with how we are going to spend that time? Shouldn’t we be spending our time in improving ourselves in the sight of Allah? Shouldn’t we be doing the best we can for Allah? Shouldn’t we be concerned for our Muslim brothers and sisters and all humanity, and ensure the message of Islam is given to everyone?

To sit back and await developments is simply being defeatist. Action is our need of the hour, as you can read in Surah 16, verse 125 the meaning of:

*{Invite [all] to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and reason with them in the best possible way.}*

Muslims can achieve a lot even where we are minorities simply by showing Islam as an alternative viable way of life. Some 5,000 US military personnel embraced Islam in Saudi Arabia after the Gulf War. Some Americans have embraced Islam in Iraq, but what is each one of us doing with our neighbors? If Muslims can show they have iman (faith), Allah will intervene and relieve us of all oppression, no matter how hopeless the case may appear: history has proved it. Muslims have to make the effort. Just how prepared are we as well as those we love, to face the Hour? May Allah help us to help ourselves, ameen.

Our beloved prophet (pbuh) predicted that the battle of Armageddon will take place when al-Hijaaz (Saudi Arabia today) will be corrupted. This prophecy might be fulfilled at this time of history.

Mu’adh ibn Jabal narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said:

“The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib (Madinah) is in ruins. The ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes. The outbreak of the great war [i.e., the battle of Armageddon] will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople will be when the Dajjal (Antichrist) comes forth.”

He [the Prophet] struck his thigh or his shoulder with his hand and said:

“This is as true as you are here or as you are sitting (meaning Mu’adh ibn Jabal).”

I read this in the translation of Sunan Abu-Dawud; Battles: kitab al-malahim, book 37, number 4281.

I would like to hear your opinion in regard to this matter.

I find all of this 2012 talk unimpressive. It’s all going in the wrong direction. PakAlert should be publishing the Islamic perspective here more than anything else; not the esoteric stuff by D.Wilcock.

Only Allah knows what will happen that year, every other theory is just that, a theory based upon guesses and “feelings”.

What we as Muslims, believe is that there will come a time – very soon – when dajaal, the Anti-Christ will reveal himself and the world will go through an extremely tumultuous period. It may be in 2012, or may be some other year. I do, however, agree with preparing ourselves. Not by believing in our own abilities to conquer things, but by belief in our Creator, who is the Only One, who can help us.

May ALLAH protect us all!

I have not had any 2012 visions, but I do remember the first time I heard about the Mayan calender subject. I saw some TV show in the mid 1970’s that quoted December 24, 2011 as the end or start of a major shift in Earth history.

I wouln’t say i’ve had “visions” persay. But in my spiritual experiences through meditation and Astral Projection i have seen some disturbing images of what can only be some sort of future timeline. With that in mind, what i have seen would require a sequence of events to go exactly as they are suppose to, which usually does not happen.

Anyway here’s what i’ve been seeing lately.

More and more, people accross the world are getting more and more fed up with the system, and how it’s ruining our Earth, as well as not providing basic needs for the entire human population. Eventually this leads to a civil uprising among rich, established first world countries such as the UK and NA.

Now the other images i see are all interconnected with this massive global civil movement. I’ve been trying to pin-point the Catalyst of this movement, but all that i can decipher from what i’ve been seeing is a military resolution or draft of some sort, all starting in 2011.

Anyway thats what i’ve been able to decipher so far. These experiences are happening more frequently as i try to decipher they’re meaning, which leads me to believe i will eventually.

It’s an interesting idea, but as a scientist I would have to step back and say wait a minute here, the conclusion is basically coming from a feeling or intuition and to me that really isn’t scientific proof of an appending apocalypse.

It does bring up some interesting points here though. Good work .

As you say, it is just the end of the Mayan Calendar.
But, I believe this date will have great significance…. WHY?

1) More than just the Mayans have talked about 2012. Check out the Sumerians and their 2012 account. And fyi, Sumeria is where many of the earlier stories of the bible originate. And, its a completely separate civilization from the Mayan one. Coincidence?
The Hopi Indians also talk about the end of days. And just before this, the world will be connected by a spider web. This spider web that connects the world, yells to me of the Internet, which connects us all instantly.

2) Lets look at the Mayan calendar itself. It is comprised of several rings. The 2012 date is the ending of the third outer ring. We don’t understand what this outer ring is for… yet.
The Second ring is the gestation of life. It is the maturation of a fetus into a human being. So, i believe that the third is possibly maturation of a species.

Are we sure of what this third ring is? No. But, I hardly doubt that it is a completely arbitrary point in time.
Many 2012 theories point towards psychic abilities and awakening of consciousness. However, I am still skeptical.

But, I feel as if we have changes to come in addition to the massive changes that we have already been experiencing. But, read my signature!

In case anyone didn’t notice, we’re heading for something worse than a depression the writing is on the wall. With the failure of 1 or all of the US auto makers we’ll be sent into an economic black hole..the powers that be (who control the knowledge of recovered Extraterrestrial Technology and probably more) will have played their cards finally. This long drawn out plan which started decades earlier-9/11 being the trigger to set off the tinder box/spiral and eventual downfall of the western world will be playing right into their hands for total control over the population, our ‘fear’ levels and manipulation of our ‘reality’.
Whatever the end game will be it looks like its directly heading for 2012 things are converging, the Iranian nuclear crisis, the recently released report of the prospects of a WMD attack on a major US pop center (they are basically calling it out now/inviting it) funny how they quoted a timeline BY 2013…dont believe me watch it for yourself:

I find it interesting that I stumbled upon something, while using some leisure time and watching TV on a basic network program. I could be opening a Pandora Box here, but I thought I would make this a discussion. I remembered watching a commercial and thinking, “Ok what was the point of that?” Again, I saw this saw commercial a few days later on the fox channel. It then hit me on the purpose behind it. The commercial was by ready.gov, a government sponsored site or company that prepares people for the worst.

Now, with all the recent warnings being pronounced by certain sources, including the recent news articles flying and causing buzzes around the America nation. I then slowly re-watched the commercial that was displaying on multiple basic televisions “high-rated” programs. The commercial was of a random man, woman, and kids. The man said, “If my cell phone and lan phones were down what would I do?” The woman than repeated and said the same comment. The meaning behind the commercial was simple, stating after the commercial was finished that, “These people don’t have a plan if something were to happen, do you? “; “Make sure to have an emergency backup plan” with the ending of the commercial.

This being the second time I saw this commercial it hit me. The first time I pondered the point behind the commercial, but decided it was irrelevant. Next, after seeing it again, I wondered who would sponsor a commercial stating nothing more than your average day person to prepare in case of an emergency was to happen. Visiting the site, http://www.ready.gov it then dawned on me, while doing further research this is directly funded by the U.S government. On top of, the funds being derived from homeland security themselves. Why would homeland security directly fund a commercial like this? One could argue, well they simply wanted to get a simple message out. Once again it would draw too much suspicion if homeland security themselves were to make such a commercial. So why not sponsor with someone and start getting the word out? Let me also remind everyone, to my knowledge there has never been such a past event such as homeland security directly funding an act like this.

I than sat down and thought, with the upcoming events like Hollywood releasing a big movie 2012, such a commercial will only draw suspicion at that time. So I am proposing, is it possible the government knows something they aren’t releasing? This could fall into anything really, but with all the media attention around the upcoming solar storms and 2012, my only conclusion is this is focusing towards this. Lastly, if you visit their website there “kit” is of the following: (A basic 3 day survival kit) I trained with the United States military doing survival classes years ago and I can tell you some items on this list are not for a 3 day survival.

Amen to that, I’ve had a deep interest in 2012 but don’t comment much on it. I find it frustrating trying find any real facts because of the amount of speculation, and lets face it misinformation.
That’s why this article is such a breath of fresh air.

You have a good point regarding the rate of precession, I’m wondering if the values over period of a few thousand years would make much of a difference? Over a few hundred years I don’t think it would matter that much.
Is it possible (I know this is a big call) that the Maya were actually aware of the discrepancy?
If the Olmec did indeed create the long count calendar could it have been accurate to 100% at the time (a few thousand years ago) and the changing rate of precession has pushed the time frame the extra half a percent as it is today?
Half a percent may be too great a value over a period of a few thousand years. I’m sure the math could be done.

Either way very cool and awe inspiring I think.

Excellent piece of work indeed. It is a very nice change of pace to see a work about the significance of 12/21/2012 being more of an astronomical curiosity than anything else. None of the nonsense about passing through the galactic plane, galactic alignment, or (please, no) Nibiru. To any early agrarian culture a celestial event such as the “triple rebirth” would be of deep significance and possible reason for a basis of an important aspect of their calendar.

It does make a strong case for the Maya being aware of the precession of the equinoxes but it should be noted that the rate of precession is not constant. This variation might put a dent in the timing of the Long Count being based on precession.

Thanks for Sharing Mr. Wilcocks work! And the Law of One! I happen to use much of his work in my own teachings and research.
I do belive this man has much to offer us in the way of occult knowledge.
Yet like most of us.. We tend to say things that are way off base and totally our own feelings on the matter..

Like David Icke.. If you can get past some of the non sense about lizardmen and blood drinking, then the rest of what he has to say is very meaningful and can help many people in this world.

David Wilcock is much the same way.. He says some things that are way out there! And hard for many to belive.. Just look past what you dont agree with, and find something you can belive, and use in your own life!!

All these folks I belive have much to offer us.. Like a puzzle. And David has a few of the pieces to this puzzle!!

Wow I just watched this big presentation David Wilcock gave and it was amazing. He talks about everything to meditation, to star gates, to worm holes and everthing in between. In the end, he makes it all come together in a theory of what will happen in 2012. Best part is that he doesnt base his beliefs off of Alien contacts, it is all scientifically proven. He knows people that work on black projects that he has contact with. If he is to be believed, there is some AMAZING stuff that we are working on that will blow your mind. I highly suggest watching all 10 of these videos (each one is a segment). He predicts that in 2012 something good will happen I wont tell you what because that would spoil it. There is evidence to support his theory too.

I have been studying the same field for the last 9 years or more and have been consulting various scholars (Ahl-e-Zahir & Ahl-e-Batin) and came across a lot of dissaray existing within the scholarly community pertaining to the signs of the last hour. With each passing day, Masonry is coming out in the open is they don’t feel the need to hide their beliefs since the world has been secured by them for their false saviour, the Dajjal.

I would still request you as a brother to follow the hadith narrated by Fatima Bint Qays (recorded by Imam Muslim in Sahih Muslim: Kitab Al Fitan), afterwards watch the movie “The man who would be king” (directed by John Huston, Starring Sean Connery, Michael Caine and Saeed Jaffrey), read Secret Societies and Psychological warfare by Michael Hoffman and relate the info to authentic hadith pertaining to Dajjal’s so-called miracles. For Armageddon, World War 4 (WW3 was the Cold War which ended with the Gulf War 1991) or Malhama Al Uzma, a verse regarding 2nd coming of Hazrat Isa (PBUH) in Surah Nisa has been explained with great detail by Imam Ibn Kathir. The tafseer is well respected by Muslims from all thoughts (with the exception of Shias and Ismailis) as it distinguishes between authentic and unauthentic sayings which explain the word of Allah and hadith narrated by Abu Haryrah (R.A) and recorded by Imam Muslim in which he informs us of a great battle between Muslims and Romans (today’s EU not US) where as per the Hadith they will station at Al Amash or Dabiq. After the Lebanese-Israeli war of 2006, troops from EU led by France, under the flag of UN, are stationed at the Lebanese Syrian border which is very, very, very near to Marj Dabiq.

Great post, very interesting stuff. Lot’s of great details and info. I’ve been watching a lot on the TV lately about just such topics regarding 2012 and from what I can tell it seems the prediction from the Mayans and Egyptians, this is not a man made issue but a natural phenom that might start around 2012 and the part about the magnetic poles shifting and even perhaps losing the protective magnetic fields around the earth for a brief moment, enough to let a blast of radiation like an EMP through….that seems kinda of possible every 28k years. There is a lot also on famine, starvation and food riots. As if the land will no longer produce food around that time. Scary stuff but all of this forecasting could be incorrect and it could be a GREAT year for us all, who knows? Whatever it is, belief in God, faith in family and helping fellow man — these are the things I’m trusting for my future.
