Terrorism is an international menace which is top concern of every government. It has spread throughout the world like incurable viral disease. South Asian region is worst hit where Indian and Pakistan see each other as actor behind terrorist activities in their countries. Ever since their existence, Pakistan and India are in eye ball to eye ball position with each other. India being aggrieved due to the independence of Pakistan has adopted a negative approach towards this country. Resultantly, whenever there is a terrorist attack or major disaster in India, the finger of suspicion is always pointed towards Pakistan. Irrespective of the government in Pakistan, whether it is under Army or civilian rule, India finds Pakistan’s policies anti-India. In cases where India-based terrorists are caught red handed by Indian authorities, it is still presumed that Pakistan’s sleeper agents in India have provided them logistical support. It seems that it is impossible for Pakistan to satisfy the Indian authorities and general masses in India to overcome their fear of being invaded by Pakistan. The recent Mumbai attacks of November 26, 2008 did not prove different. Probably to settle some old score, India initiated serious blames of terrorism on Pakistan, without even investigating the incident.
Pakistan is also victim of terrorism. Its current laws intend to end the menace of terrorism, as terrorism has devastated Pakistani society more than any other country. Thousands of people have been killed and injured in terror strikes in Pakistan. During the last seven years Pakistan has done more than what it should have done to counter terrorism. This can be analyzed by the fact that Pakistan also carried out action against those targets which proved to be mere speculations of foreign intelligence agencies. Now, the question arises that what options do we have to deal with this menace? Military strikes are one of the options but it is no answer. Terrorists are difficult to isolate from general public and pinpoint, military strikes on them may result in killing of innocent persons. Obviously we can’t kill the whole village on suspicion of presence of some terrorists. Such military operations may also lead to skirmishes between love ones of those innocent persons killed in strikes and government authorities. There are no rules in war, so there can’t be an agreement between the two warring parties that only conventional weapons will be used. Thus military strikes may lead to full fledge war leading to internal de-stability and division among masses.
India is blaming Pakistan-based Kashmiri Jihadi organization ‘Lashkar-e-Tayyiaba’ for Mumbai attacks and on the same pretext reportedly planning to carryout surgical strikes on so called Mujahideen camps inside Pakistan. However, the fact cannot be ignored that Pakistan has banned this Kashmiri organization back in 2002 and presently it is non-operative. Aftermath Mumbai attacks; Pakistan also banned ‘Jaamat-ud-Daawa’ on the basis of UNSC (United Nations Security Council) Resolution 1267 and its offices and the bank accounts have also been sealed. Pakistan is already enforcing its tough anti-terror laws in true letter and spirit. India would appreciate that existing anti-terror laws in Pakistan are extremely tough which sometimes unwittingly may lead to human rights abuses. In a situation where India is itself facing violence, agitation and separatist movement in at least 14 states, can India dare brand them terrorist and take military action against them. There can be no two opinions that tough anti-terror laws are prone to abuse. Hence, these laws are not sufficient to deal with terrorism. Fishermen in high seas and people across the border sometimes unwittingly stray into neighbouring territory or cross boarder for mere economic reasons. Such people should be treated humanely and deported back to their homeland. Instead of waging war, we must strengthen our intelligence and border patrolling and get hold of real culprits. India should not be mistaken to compare itself with US with whom Pakistan has made many agreements. In case of an Indian attack, Pakistan would respond with full force to destroy six already marked targets inside India while full fledge war may also breakout.
India and Pakistan can’t live as good neighbours unless leadership in these countries changes their attitudes. They talk of peace when they are out of power but once power is restored, Indian leaders feel survival in hate-Pakistan while Pakistanis in hate-India-sentiments. Indian Prime Minister VP Singh had said that Pakistan would not last even a thousand hours if it embarked on a misadventure. Similarly other Indian leader had been repeatedly suggesting annexation of Pakistan. On the other hand Pakistani leaders like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and later her daughter pledged to wage a 1000-year war against India. Similar sentiments were also expressed by many leaders in Pakistan. We must understand that terrorism is a complicated matter and must not be dictated by any foreign government. Laws on such a delicate matter should be at framed in such a manner that aggrieved and discontented may not be counted as terrorist.
Both India and Pakistan should deal with their own territories on term and conditions best suited to them. In a nutshell, military strikes are the last option; we must wholeheartedly try the methods of peace to accomplish our objective before using the course of brute force.

Sir, if world is gonna end on 2012 what me and you can do. We have no control over our TAQDEER. Its gonna happen one day. We should not abandon all our hope and get ourselves ready for dooms day. i say try your best what good you can do to this world. At least when we present ourselves in front of Allah we can say that Allah against all odds we keep our faith and believed in you and do whatever good we can in all the chaos. There is no use in spreading more gloom over the world which in in fact is already in darkness. you have done articles on psychological disturbing facts I think because you are a journalist. Just for the sake of people do at least one good article which can give people HOPE. and can make living of people a little easier.

Pakistan’s HC in Delhi threatened by Indian terror organisation
By Faraz Khan
KARACHI: An Indian terror organisation, the All India Anti-Terrorist Group, has sent a letter to the Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi, threatening to bomb the High Commission building and stage terror attacks on the parliament building in Islamabad.
The Pakistani government has informed senior Indian police officials of the letter and have asked them to take the necessary precautions, according to a letter made available to Daily Times. It states the group has warned of attacks through sub-groups active throughout India and Pakistan, including the Students of Hinduism Movement in India and Pakistan, Students against Terrorism, and Pride of India. Pakistan security agencies have increased vigilance over foreign nationals, especially students studying in Pakistan, the letter added.
